About Grootvlei Guest Farm

Welcome to Grootvlei Guest Farm. If you take the road from Cape Town in a northerly direction and drive for just under three hours, you will discover an oasis of luxury, comfort and warm hospitality on the West Coast, that is Grootvlei Guest Farm. Grootvlei Guest Farm is situated 6 km from the charming fishing village of Lambert’s Bay, with its moderate climate all year round. It is also within walking distance of the Atlantic Ocean with its long, uninterrupted white beaches.

During the flower season from July to early October each year, the area is covered with a tapestry of wild flowers. Conservation of the dune vegetation has seen the return of small game and you will notice their footprints around the buildings. You may even spot a duikertjie or other buck on an early morning walk. Birdwatchers will have a field day spotting a large variety of birds, and if you are lucky, you may see Heaviside’s dolphins, whales and seals frolicking in the blue waters, a short distance from the beach.
The Öppiduin"Venue offers beautiful seaview, and a unique sunset across the Atlantic ocean.
The Ïnnituin"Venue with its lovely garden view , water features and chirping of wild birds brings nature to your front door.

we spent one night in room 5 in the main house. Edmund was very welcoming and recommended a good place to eat and things to do. Great breakfast and friendly staff. The room was very clean and comfortable with lovely views. We would happily stay there again.

We visited Grootvlei Guest Farm and although the proprietoress was friendly, the room was freezing cold and all they provided was a small wall heater - no extra heaters or electric blankets. We were so cold we had to huddle together to get some sleep...

Our recent stay at Grootvlei was a great experience with a warm welcome and lovely room. This was capped with a hearty breakfast well presented by attentive staff. Would definitely recommend a stay at this spot.
