About Four Rosmead
Four Rosmead is an exclusive guest house situated on the slopes of Table Mountain in the select, residential suburb of Oranjezicht. The guest house enjoys 360° views of the mountain, Lion's Head, Signal Hill, Table Bay and the city, and is also within walking distance of the city as well as vibrant Kloof Street, which is well-known for its restaurant and café culture.
Built in 1903, Four Rosmead is a classified monument that is being sensitively and stylishly re-modeled. The result is a Cape contemporary classic with a rich history. Interiors are chic, with a subtle yet distinctive African spirit.
Accommodation consists of eight bedrooms, namely one Suite, four Deluxe and three Luxury bedrooms, each of which is individually decorated. All the bedrooms are en-suite and include extra-length queen or twin beds, the highest quality linens, air-conditioning, heated towel rails, satellite TVs, telephones, bar fridges, electronic safes, coffee and tea facility, bath robes, and broadband, wireless Internet access. Some rooms also feature a fireplace.
Other facilities at Four Rosmead include continental or full English breakfasts, a swimming pool with loungers, landscaped gardens, and off-street parking. In addition, various stress-relieving and invigorating therapies are offered by trained professionals in a Holistic Pamper Spa.
Services include airport transfers, car hire, laundry, theatre and restaurant reservations, as well as booking day tours to Cape Point and the Winelands, including Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. English and French are spoken.
The guest house is within walking distance from Company Gardens, National Museum and Art Gallery, Parliament buildings, Green Market Square, and the recently announced Mandela Rhodes Place in the city centre. Just five to 10 minutes by car will take you to Table Mountain Cableway, the V&A Waterfront and Robben Island, Clifton and Camps Bay beaches, and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
