The glamorous new Dockside Apartments in bohemian New De Waterkant (next to Green Point) precinct on suave & trendy Cape Town City Centre’s fringe (1km from the V&A Waterfront & the 2010 World Cup Soccer Stadium) are 6 storeys high, in brand-new boutique design building, with fantastic panoramic views of Table Mountain, city skyline, Table Bay Harbour & sea views, in a prime upmarket area, next to Fireman’s Arms Pub historic heritage building and surrounded by other brand-new upmarket residential developments.It is a stone’s throw from the V&A, trendy Old De Waterkant, Cape Town International Convention Centre, the CBD’s office towers, internet cafes, the famous bustling Greenmarket Square with its flea market and museum, the world-famous Mandela-Rhodes Place development and winery, the historic Government Lane & Company Gardens botanical gardens with huge museum, Houses of Parliament, The Castle of Good Hope, The Bo-Kaap & Malay Quarter, lively Long Street with its vibey shops & throbbing night life, relaxing St Georges Mall, Adderley Street, & Van Riebeeck Square.The in-house facilities include a reception, state-of-the-art 24-hr security & 24-hr concierge, CCTV, video intercom for viewing visitors, DSTV, gym, indoor swimming pool, & lifts.The Apartments are 3-Star quality (not grading), modern, pleasant, spacious, self-servicing & self-catering and non-smoking. The 2-bedroom apartment consists of 2 carpeted bedrooms (1 queen-size & 2 single beds), lounge/dining room with 2 double sleeper couches (pull-out sofa beds), fully equipped self-catering open-plan granite kitchen with washing machine, main en-suite bathroom with bathtub, second en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, pleasant scenic front and wrap-around balconies, and two reserved under-cover parking bays. All 3 apartments have free Internet/Wi-Fi, TV with free M-Net & DSTV Hotel Bouquet ("Cable TV") and they are furnished in uncluttered minimalist style.Please note that “Dockside” has no reception. The promotional low rates are in S.A. Rands (ZAR), and include free Internet/Wifi, M-Net & DSTV Hotel Bouquet ("Cable TV"), hot water & parking (VAT N/A), but exclude all meals, daily servicing, heating (optional extra R50p.d. per heater) late-checkin fee of R300 after 8pm & refundable Damage/Security Deposit of approximately R1000 for a 1-bedroom unit or R2000 for a 2-bedroom unit or depending on circumstances, payable together with the rental balance on checking in.

The promotional low rates herein, are subject to surcharges related to very short stays and high number of persons sharing.

The promotional low daily rates include for 2 adults in main bedroom and 1 child under 13 or 1 adult, thereafter surcharge applies on daily rate. Children of 13 years and older, are classed as adults. (Surcharge per extra adult = + 34%, per extra child = + 17%)

Rates are designed to apply for stays of 5 nights or more. Shorter stays, especially for 1 or 2 nights, or during peak periods, are subject to our prior approval, and are subject to an additional surcharge on the daily rate (Surcharge for only 4 nights = + 10%, 3 = + 20%, 2 = + 30%, 1 = + 40%)

Children of 13 years and older, are classed as adults.

The unit is self-servicing, i.e. it is not serviced daily by us. Cleaning & new towels/linen is done by us before check-in & after checkout only.

Our company manages Apartments in 9 diverse buildings in Cape Town.

Check-in (getting keys & directions to whichever building you have chosen to stay at), is from 4pm (or earlier if possible, depending on whether previous guests are departing from your unit on the morning of your arrival day) at our main Reception office at The Centurion All-Suite Hotel in Sea Point (close to our other buildings), irrespective of which building you have booked to stay at. Check-out is up to 10am (or later if possible, depending on whether other guests are checking into your unit on your departure day).

Checking out is very convenient for you and us, as it simply involves you leaving the key/remote etc. in the apartment and shutting the front door.

Directions for checking in (getting keys & directions to whichever building you have chosen to stay at) : From N1 or N2 national roads or from airport to our main Reception office address (Nr 1 Frere Road, Sea Point) at The Centurion All-Suite HotelTM, corner of Main Rd & Frere Rd (above "KFC", in same block as “Clicks” & "Pick 'n Pay", on same corner as "Cafe Sofia"), Sea Point, Cape Town :

Follow national road signs to "Cape Town". As soon as you enter Cape Town, follow road signs to "Sea Point". When you see the ocean on your right, you will be on Beach Rd, from which you turn left into Rocklands Road, straight across Main Rd into Frere Rd past "Cafe Sofia" on the left-hand corner and drive into the first driveway on your right.

Please come to the main external reception which is on the short passage between the pavement and the tower of the building, not inside the tower, and check in only with Vassi or his assistant Vicky.

First of all, Dockside Apartments is well centralized - close to the waterfront, table mountain, long street to name but a few of the popular attractions in Cape Town. The view from the apartment is spectacular. And the space in the apartment is absolutely relaxing. I would stay there again, for sure. My suggested improvements would be to have more pillows on the beds and to make sure all doors, including sliding doors of the balconies are functional. One of the sliding doors did not have a slot (it was broken), so it could not lock. It would also be nice if check-in could move closer to the...

had to get keys for flat in Seapoint took an hour. Agent who helped us first had to put on a shirt. The parking was the only joy. Walking into the flat we were greeted by a odour of smoke. The bedding was not the newest and was clean but looked tacky. The flat was very noisy even with windows and curtains closed. Very stuffy. Please look somewhere else for accomodation
