About Black Oystercatcher Cottages

Relax and unwind with the perfect country getaway.

Breathe in the fresh air, savour our wonderful fresh herb and vegetable garden (you can even pick them to spice up your meals) and enjoy the beautiful views over the Elim area (with a glass of wine of course) at our self-catering Bredasdorp accommodation.

The four Black Oystercatcher Cottages are beautifully furnished with king-size beds or two single beds and private bathrooms. Each cottage has an equipped kitchenette. And for the chilly winter months two cottages feature an inside fireplace in the lounge area. Step outside onto a patio (with an expansive view) and make use of the braai area. All linen and towels are provided. And you’ll also have access to free Wi-Fi.

The cottages are set next door to the Black Oystercatcher Restaurant, on a working wine farm. So guests can enjoy lunch at the restaurant (platters can be arranged for dinner). And in summer, make the most of our outdoor pool to cool down, and our natural landscape for cycling, hiking and other outdoor activities.

Wedding Venues: At Black Oystercatcher, we make sure the weddings we host are unique, intimate and stress-free. In the Human-family tradition, it’s a day to always remember, appreciating wonderful friends, close family and, of course, future partners.

Had a really lovely time at the cottages and winery. A beautiful part of the country with Black Oystercatcher Cottages being the perfect stop. Will spread the word.

We only spent one night at Black Oyster Cottages, but it was such a lovely night. The room is very comfortable and has all amenities. Someone has really considered all you would need for a few nights, especially in terms of kitchen items. The cottage was clean and tidy and the reception staff very friendly. The cottage is cosy with a fire inside, which will be the perfect place for a Winter getaway. We will definitely be visiting again.

Amazing. Really enjoyed our one night stay there. Maybe a two plate stove wouldn't be a bad idea although the electric frying pan worked for us that night. Hopefully we will be back one day
