Although most of the smaller towns in this part of Mpumalanga are close to the Kruger National Park, Hazyview is the closest – just a short hop to the Phabeni, Numbi and Kruger Gates. It’s a pretty little town with some lovely guest houses on the outskirts, and a couple of good restaurants.

If you’re not the sort who likes to keep your feet on the ground, you could go for a microlight flip, a scenic helicopter flight or even ride in a hot air balloon. There are fun mountain biking trails, which you could do as an escorted trip, if you wish, horse trails, kloofing trips or paddling on the Sabie River, abseiling and, of course, escorted safaris into Kruger National Park.

For something a bit more cultural, you could tour a Shangaan village or a coffee plantation and roastery.

Centrally located with good amenities
Hazyview is a great base to stay for all the attractions of the area. Close to the Kruger Park (15 minutes from the Phabeni Gate), it is also less than an hour from Sabie and its waterfalls, Graskop and Gods Window and the historic town of Pilgrims Rest. There is a good range of accommodation, some excellent restaurants and a sufficient shops for the basic necessities.

A Haven of Holiday Treats
Hazyview has a touristy vibe and the heat one may expect throughout summer and winter serves as a happy reminder that this is the time to think happy thoughts - you're on holiday! Hazyview is a hub of intermingling cultures, from the locals and not-so-local visitors with thoughts on vacation. The town atmosphere is energetic and busy, bolstered by the hospitality from many local restaurants and accommodation establishments. This is the gateway to the Kruger Park and the beginning of a memorable adventure, regardless of whether you camp or cart a trailer to self-cater inside or outside of...

Excellent for travellers!
If you are crazy about nature and need peace of mind then Hazyview is the place for you. We were apparently lucky to see the Pangolin at the Kruger National Park! How is that to pin down in our travelers diaries.

Hazyview...delightful little town
If someone asked you to help them with a model town made out of paper machier....you would have spectacular mountains and hills with canyons and waterfalls and quaint old mining towns on one side...then a beautiful river flowing through the town..with restaurants, and landrovers and masses of fun activities...all surrounded by tranquil agricultural scenes. Then almost within a stones throw....the hugest game reserve, with the big five! You would have made Hazyview!

Relaxing and scenic
Hazyview is a great destination if you just want to get away from it all and enjoy the scenery of Mpumalanga! It's also a great stepping stone into the Kruger Park which is just a stone's throw away! Well worth the visit, just make sure to bring a camera!

Hazyview
Beautiful area, VERY concerned about the conditions of the road, the R535 betwen Graskop and Hazyview is a death trap. The potholes are disgusting and dangerous. It appears that NO effort is being made to maintain the road. It spoiled the ambiance of the area as you are not afforded the oppertunity to enjoy the scenery due to concentrating at not loosing your life.

Hazyview 3 stars
We also loved Hazyview because of its central location of where we wanted to go. It just was very busy, but I expect it can be expected when you are there in December. All the big shops, like SPAR, Pick & Pay and Checkers are also in Hazyview.

Hazyview, Graskop, Whiteriver
We loved Hazyview because of its central location for where we wanted to go. If you want to travel the area thats where you should be. So many beautiful places to stay and breathtaking sceneries to enjoy.I must honestly say though the next time we come that way we will try stay in Graskop a few days and breakfast every morning at "Graskop Pancakes" best food I have ever eaten while on holiday. Breakfast. Lunch, Supper all great all good value for money. A lovely tribute to the Harley Davidson and the bikers. They also offer a tour on the bikes so make sure to stop there. The best.Linda Visser...

Hazyview
Hazyview has got spectacular views, but the crime and filth expected from places in Gauteng, is evident. We were harassed by five men, trying to gain excess into our chalet in the early hours of the morning, leaving a very bad taste and the good memories are forgotten.

Mother nature at her best
This is such a peaceful place. Away from the hustle & bustle of city life(which is not good by the way). The mountain views & the fresh natural air just have a way of relieving stress. Most activities are nearby & a trip to Hazyview is necessary at least once a year. It does wonders to the mind, body, skin, hair, blood pressure....u name it.
