Ferndale seems to be a tranquil area, conveniently situated near Bright Water Mall. It was lovely, close to other amenities.

A good place to visit and live
Ferndale is one of the oldest suburbs of Randburg and, apart from being a pleasant place to live, is convenient for shops, motorways, malls etc. People take a pride in their gardens so there is always colour around. If flea markets entice you, the Brightwater Commons has one and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from after your game of adventure golf. There is a bird sanctuary which draws many varietiesand it is quite common to have 23 different species in the garden. It is just a good place to live

Now we have superb shopping centres, the Coca Cola Dome for Expos and concerts, quick access to the N1 motorway, loads of family restaurants and we are in the hub of it all.

In those days there were hedgehogs, fire flies and chameleons in the gardens. But even with the spread of developme...
