The house has a very modern African feel to it and every care has been taken to assure your complete relaxation and comfort. The house has features such as a big projector-screen television in the bar area and wireless hot spot Internet connectivity throughout the house. The suites, which each consists of a bedroom, a living room and a bathroom, have all the little extras such as microwaves, toasters, coffee and tea-making facilities, minibars, TVs, DVD players, stereos, hairdryers, sewing kits, first aid kits, toiletries and more. Our breakfast menu includes delicious meals such as a full English breakfast, pancakes, health breakfast and the ever-popular continental. We do room service every day and offer laundry services as well. The owners of The Roundhouse are also the owners of the local tourist centre in Gansbaai itself, called The Great White Adventure Centre. This means that we can professionally and easily assist you in booking any type of activity during your stay here. For the shark diving clients we would suggest that you book this with us in advance. Our shark diving clients gets 10-percent off the standard rate when booked through us. When coming to Gansbaai be sure to experience the hospitality of The Roundhouse B & B.

Whalesong Lodge is an ideal base to spend a number of days exploring the area. It is a paradise for whale watching, shark cage diving or just leisurely walks along the coast. The five spacious bedrooms are stylish and offer sea views and small private balconies. The en-suite bathrooms have underfloor heating, separate baths and showers. The comfortable open-plan lounge and dining room leads out onto a wooden deck. There is a cosy fireplace and a good selection of South African red wines. The wooden deck leads to a small swimming pool and guests can also swim at the beach nearby. A short drive will take you to a number of sandy beaches. De Kelders is renowned for some of the best land based whale watching in the world during August to November. The whales come so close to the cliff edge that you will hear them breathing inside the house! The house is located in the second row from beachfront with ocean views and within a short walking distance of the pristine Walker Bay nature/marine reserve with white sandy beaches and large open caves of archaeological interest. Six people are accommodated in three bedrooms, each with crisp white linen. The roome have queen size, double and two single beds respectively. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath. All linen and towels are provided. A built in braai on the patio, large colour TV with full DSTV, cosy fireplace, and double lock-up garages further ensures a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, conventional oven, fridge/freezer and all other utensils. There is a games room with table tennis. A beautiful hiking trail in front of the house winds along the rugged, fynbos lined cliffs overlooking the ocean. Visit nearby Kleinbaai Harbour (10km away) to participate in great white shark cage diving, boat based whale watching or pleasure cruises to the seal colony at Dyer Island. We are situated 180km from Cape Town, 40km from Hermanus and 5km from Gansbaai Town where fresh line fish is always available at the active harbour. De Kelders is a small village adjacent to Gansbaai, only half an hour’s drive from Hermanus. This small fishing town remains relatively isolated from the majority of the tourism in the area, although it is rather famous for its quality seafood. De Kelders is also renowned for a series of underground caves, which draw myriad visitors keen to explore the mesmerising stalactites, stalagmites and clear pools that characterise them. In the nearby Walker Bay Nature Reserve is Klipgat Cave, where Stone Age man is believed to have resided about 70,000 years ago. Visitors can hike through the small 1,000 hectare reserve, which boasts 17 kilometres of coastline and a beautiful beach called Die Plaat. The Klipgat Trail is a 7 kilometre hiking trail which takes in the Gansbaai harbour, the Klipgat cave and some rare limestone fynbos. A few species of small buck can also be spotted in the park. Southern Right Whales also frequent the nearby Walker Bay between July and November, and can be seen extremely close to shore.
