Very nice location. would have appreciated knowledge beforehand about the access road via the beach.


BD Lodge
BD Lodge is an exclusive private lodge on Bartholomeu Dias Point, boasting long stretches of unspoiled beaches. This tropical paradise is situated 30 km north of Inhassoro, in the province of Inhambane, Mozambique.

The lodge offers accommodation in several sea- or lagoon-facing chalets built on stilts, leading onto lit-up boardwalks which wind between exquisite natural vegetation. The chalets and bar are built with local traditional materials and all provide panoramic views of the sea, BD Island and the lagoon. The chalets are equipped for self-catering.

Days can be spent lounging by the pool, lying on the beach, taking river cruises on a boat or dhow, or going on day trips to the nearby BD Island where a picnic lunch can be enjoyed.

BD Lodge offers many activities including fishing, paddle skiing, canoeing, water skiing and birdwatching. The BD Point area also provides excellent fishing, whether it is surf fishing for the mighty ignoblis or deep sea fishing for marlin, sailfish or drop shotting for up to 20 different species. The waters of Mozambique are home to a large variety of spectacular fish, such as king and queen mackerel, kingfish, marlin, sailfish, barracuda and many more.

Transport is available to and from Vilankulos Airport; we will collect you and take you along the beach to our spot of magic. BD Lodge is the paradise of the Mozambican mainland, an experience you definitely do not want to miss.
