All Comments for Badplaas Golf Club Guest House & Lodge

We arrived at Badplass Golf Club after getting lost!!. The turn off to the Golf club is hardly signposted off the R38. WE drove past for nearly 10km. We phoned the Club and got directions. The road from the R38 to The Golf Club is 4.6 km of rutted, dongered bad gravel not suitable to normal sedan cars. Lucky we have a miniature SUV with good ground clearance. It was also raining making the road even more of a torture. Because the forecast was for more rain we decided not to stay there as we could pssibly not be able to get out in the morning. WE left and booked in at Badplass Forever Resort.

We checked in rather late but the host came out to meet us and showed us around. Perfect place for rest and relation, quiet and tranquil surrounds. The family's dog also pleasant host :)

Security is non exciting. Slept alone in a building with a front door that could not lock. No cellphone network in rooms. Staff building on the sight and no front door to lock. Also sleepibg on the same pemices. The owners live safe and sound 800 m away. Very scary. For what i paid is definitly not what i was expecting. The room had a moldy smell.. i will never stay over there again. Paid way to much for such a unpleasant experience.

We battled to find the direction signage from the main road to Badplaas Golf Club Guest house & Lodge and we were gratefull that it was still daylight when we arrived. The setting was very pretty and pleasant with great views of the valley below. The staff were very friendly and the dinner we had was excellent. The double room looked a bit tired and could do with a revamp.

Lovely tranquil environment with a clean modern well furnished unit. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The club house serves the best meals. The Cradle of Live which is located nearby also offers great meals and awesome game drives.

Well it's a nice place that just needs cleaning up on the pool side. I enjoyed my stay there I would come back but maybe after 20 years. Truly speaking it is a nice place but the rooms are bad. It's actually a place for guys only not couples.

Disappointed in the so called luxury accommodation. Rooms not according to high standard as advertised. Only one face towel in the bathroom. Fortunately we brought swimming towels. Only one channel on the TV. The same channel as in the bar. No Guest House. Menu is overpriced for what is on offer. However the golf course is of a high standard.

We went as a group to celebrate my 21st. The accommodation was excellent and affordable. The braai/lappa was amazing and spacious for all kinds of silliness we got up to. What made it for my friends and I were the staff. We were there for 3 days and evidence of our previous day was always erased! The breakfasts were amazing with great friendly service. Thanks so much again Ben and Star for the amazing time!

We had a nice stay, very welcoming and warm people. Very clean place, there isn't much to do though.

We had a relaxing weekend. It was the perfect getaway from the city. The host and food were amazing, It was home away from home but much more peaceful. I enjoyed the golf course and waking up to the beautiful scenery everyday. Its a goof thing I came with a 4x4 though didn't know how much off road I would be doing. Well done guys keep up the good work, I look forward to visiting again.
