Lovely place, great host.
Roderick Graham, United Kingdom - Saturday, 31 January 2009
This is a lovely place to stay and the host Madeleine is a lovely, friendly person. She gave us advice on restaurants and general information on the area. A very old building but well appointed with everything you could need, although the air conditioning unit was not very powerful. The one night we stayed was cool so it wasn't vital but would be needed in the hot weather. The breakfast was very good and plentiful and really I rate this establishment very highly and well worth a stay.

We had a great stay at this hotel - we were a party of 4 in the Red Hot Poker room - a separate cottage away from the main building. The breakfast, location and rooms were very good and the staff all very friendly. Would stay here again / recommend.
Very good breakfast

The accommodation at Augusta de Mist is quite perfect. We only stayed one night but Madeline, the owner made us so welcome. She suggested walks and restaurants in the area and provided an excellent breakfast in the fantastic garden.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Swellendam. The Augusta de Mist was just what we hoped and gave us a real taste of South African hospitality. The room was cool and comfortable on a very hot day, and we were looked after superbly.
Thank You for a Lovely Stay

Only booked in for one night but loved it so much we booked a second night. We stayed in a luxury cottage on night one and a garden suite on night two both rooms were top class and beautifully furnished. Madeline the owner could not have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend as a beautiful location to stay on route to Cape Town.
Cape - Epic stay

I was responsible for the booking but unfortunately did not go to the guest house. The party I booked for was very impressed with though. They will definitely like to stay again, excellent comfort and style.
