Lovely guest house in ideal location
Lizzi Aitkenhead, Qatar - 14 February 2017
This was a really good find. Lovely spacious accommodation, and a little outside private courtyard as well. Had absolutely everything we needed. Our hostess and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious and freshly cooked. The pool looked lovely as well just sorry we didn't have time to use it. Secure parking.
The location was also great, it's a beautiful, leafy, tranquil area, you are walking distance to restaurants and upscale shops, and can also get to either central Cape Town, the waterfront or the coast quickly by car. Also very near Kirstenbosch.
We also thought it was very good value for money. Will definitely stay again when we are back in Cape Town.
A fantastic guesthouse

Glenhaven Cottage us a fantastic guesthouse! My mom stayed there for 8 nights and really enjoyed her stay. Sue is very welcoming and helpful! The room was extremely comfortable and kitted out with everything you could possibly need on holiday. The guesthouse is also very centrally located in the Newlands area. We would definitely recommend this guesthouse to our friends, and look forward to staying there in the future.

Such a lovely place to stay, the facilities are perfect and Sue, the owner, made me feel so welcome. The cottage was spacious with everything I needed and more, in an ideal setting in Cape Town. Will be recommending it to everyone back home.

In every way. We could not have been more happy with this lovely home from home in a really upmarket suburb of Cape Town. The room was a very good size, with a balcony overlooking the pool and with mountain views, the bed was comfortable, coffee and tea crockery and cutlery as well as cooking facilites are great [though we ate out every day as it's so cheap with Pounds Sterling very strong against the South african Rand] and TV with a comfortable sofa for relaxing and enjoying the complimantary bottle of liqueur which was there when we arrived. And, oh yes fresh spring water in the fridge along with milk and a drinks bar. There is secure off street parking here which was a boon. There are great restaurants and the facilities of the shops and Pick and Pay supermarket in Claremont are within walking distance of Glenhof Road. Nothing was too much trouble for Sue and her factotem Mustafa, whose cooked breakfasts really hit the spot! We will be returning here the next time that we are in Cape Town! Very, very well recommended.

Although I didn't spend a lot of time at the cottage, I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Cape Town. Thanks to Sue for all the extra trouble she went to to accommodate me.
