Relaxing
Herman Horak, South Africa - Wednesday, 03 April 2013
If you need to get away for a quiet weekend this is the place to go. Stayed in Africa chalet, very neet and well equipped unit. The animals roaming through Marloth makes it worhtwile to just sit and enjoy the bush. Lookout point on the river is stunning and so is the drive next to the river(if you have a 4x4). Enjoyed our stay. Herman and Karen
Wonderful Stay and Excellent All Day Tour!
Rebekka Jez, South Africa - Monday, 18 March 2013
My friend and I stayed at the Royale Marlothi. We were greeted by Pamela (with the bottle of cold sparkling wine). The room was comfortable and the food served in the restaurant was delicious. The zebra and wart hogs were everywhere and we even saw an impala on the property. I enjoyed feeding the zebra. There is a great lookout above the restaurant to watch the sunset over the bush. Our tour, led by Kellie, was so spectacular, she was knowledgeable, kind, and riding around in the open top vehicle felt like a day out with friends looking for wild animals...and we did find them! It was a short stay, but we enjoyed every moment!

What a place to be if you want to refresh yourself from busy city schedules. I and my wife had a wonderful stay in the lodge, ofcourse the company of warthogs, baboons, impalas, zebras and singing birds meant a lot.

A relaxing stay in the bush

We went on holiday with my mother for a lovely, relaxing time in the bush and that's exactly what we got at Royale Marlothi. The rooms were lovely to look at with comfy beds, and the food was outstanding at the little restaurant on the premises. All in all this is the ideal place for a great bush break!
Lovely days

It has been a fantastic time! Great place, nice people and the first time to see the Big 5 in one day.

We had a pleasant stay. We relaxed with the spectacular night sounds. Splash pool with view of animals having water right on your doorstep. Chris and Pamela, thank you for your hospitality. You are really friendly and the breakfast was amazing! See you soon.

Royale Marlothi Safari Lodge
Royale Marlothi Safari Lodge is situated in the Mpumalanga Province in the Wild Frontier region, just beyond the Crocodile river. It forms a natural border with the Kruger National Park and lies in the heart of the bush in Marloth Park, which is home to many animals including giraffe, zebra, kudu, warthog, impala, and wildebeest. The animals roam freely around the lodge and surrounding areas. Guests are often thrilled with the unbelievably close and personal encounters.

For the avid birdwatcher, there is an abundance of species and a wide variety of bushveld birds that can be spotted from the comfort of one’s own veranda. The most commonly seen birds are hornbills, starlings, boubou’s, shrikes and woodpeckers to name but a few. The tranquil atmosphere at the lodge allows for unique birding opportunities as one slows down to the rhythm of nature and calmly observes the surroundings.

With the absence of artificial light, the star gazing at Royale Marlothi Safari Lodge is phenomenal and among the best in Southern Africa. How better to end a blissful day than to sit reflecting under the star-studded canopy of African sky! Guests can enjoy the quiet of the African night and wake up well rested in the mornings to the sounds of nature. The serenity of the bush promotes a deep and restful sleep. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat to escape the hustle and bustle of every day life, you’ve just found it.

Royale Marlothi Safari Lodge is not an impersonal establishment, we take pride in getting to know each and every individual who arrives at our door and strive for our guests to leave here with a sense of the magic of Africa.
