ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
Debbie Bieske - Friday, 31 March 2023
This is positively the absolute worst accommodation that I have ever stayed at! The receptionist started off by not knowing that we were going to be staying at the establishment. The receptionist was unfriendly and it seemed as if we were inconveniencing her by arriving at the establishment. Once she managed to establish that we were staying there we were taken to our room. Floors were dirty. No coffee , tea , water or milk in the room. Only one chipped glass to use for 2 of us. We battled to lock the door to the room. No remote for the gate available. We queried what we should do to be able to get back in as we wanted to go out for supper. Eventually a remote was found. Very noisy and people were walking around outside during the night. I could write a book on what was wrong with the place. Let's just say I wasted R650.00 and I will never be back and I will make sure that nobody that I know books into this sub standard establishment.
It is beautiful and peaceful we rested welland I will definitely come back again.

Nothing

The gentlemen, Mark was friendly and accommodating. I would like a check to be done before a customer check in to make sure everything is ready. More blankets would also be welcome. Its okay for a 1 night stay but not extended.
Comfortable and Adequate

We found this accommodation to be clean, compact and very safe. It has everything you would basically need for a short stay. Includes microwave, fridge, tea/coffee, and even paper towels. Very near Airport but the noise is not intrusive. Parking is next to your room. Good value.
Great place to escape

Very friendly welcome and stay throughout. I was happy that my individual needs were met without a fuss. My girls would like to visit this place again for the next holiday. Easy access to malls etc.
Not impressed.

I was not happy with the accommodation. When paying R330 a night, I obviously do not expect the same kind of amenities as when I pay double that or more. But it would be nice to at least have a two prong plug in the room to be able to plug in the fan/heater that you have made available (i unfortunately could not find one) or so that one can at least charge their cellphone. Secondly, the lighting outside is a must, this I understand, but please put curtains and blinds in front of the windows and doors dark enough to block out the light, especially if the bed is directly facing these. There was also a foul smell coming from the bathroom when I first came into the room and I had to air out the place for the day to get rid of it. Also, the bathmats were clearly not clean and had just been put in the sun to dry. I know this because when I arrived they were lying in the sun and the cleaning lady took them and put them back in my room. On inspection I could see they had not been washed - that is simply just disgusting and immediately made me doubt the cleanliness of the linens and bath towels as well as the overall cleanliness of the room. Other than that, you provide the basics, and for some people that will obviously suffice when paying R330 a night, I on the other hand was let down.
Lovely Stay

I could not believe that a place can be so near the airport and yet gets minimal noise from aircrafts. My wife and kids really enjoyed the stay there and might be our pit stop as we travel between Cape Town and East London every school holiday.
Thank you

We stayed over at Pine Tree Lodge for the weekend and it was a really good stay. We can really recommend this as the place to stay at in Port Elizabeth.

We enjoyed staying here. Accommodation was excellent. The place is convenient. I suggest you include breakfast in your quotations.

Pine Tree Lodge
We offer clean and comfortable self-catering en-suite rooms. There are fans, and each with its own private entrance. All rooms are equipped with a bar fridge, kettle, complimentary tea, coffee, and sugar, crockery, cutlery, and complimentary toiletries. Single, double, queen, and king-size beds are available.

Although located close to the airport, planes do not fly overhead and they land on the opposite side of the guest house so there is minimal noise. The accommodation is set far back from the road and does not impact on the peaceful setting. standard English breakfasts are optional and served in our comfortable dining room which opens onto an undercover outdoor dining area.

The rooms are serviced daily except on Sundays. We are a non-smoking establishment but guests are welcome to smoke in the outside undercover seated area. Breakfast is extra R70 per person.
