Exceptional value for money, very well equipped kitchen and clean swimming pool. Would return again. Easy access to the National Park and plenty of additional things to do in the area.
Marula Wildlife Lodge 624

This was one of the best weekend getaways I've had in a while. The weather was a bit of a downer but that was not going to stop me from having a great time. It has everything you need for a home from home and was above my expectations. Brenda who I have been liaising with made sure that we were settled in comfortably and if we needed anything extra that it was only but a phone call away. I would definitely be back, this was memorable and this I call it my 2nd home away from home. Thanks guys you are the best.
Best stay ever

We REALLY enjoyed our stay at the lodge, very relaxing and will definitely go back again. If I could stay there I would.

We had a very good stay at this house in the bush. Saw a lot of impala and warthog around the house. House is comfortable and nice.
Excellent, peaceful outstanding

A very tranquil spot which allows you to be yourself at all times meaning you can slumber around dressed only in swimming pants (or less). Only a pleasure for those who loves the raw bush and enjoying a braai with Red Roman spiders and scorpions creeping around your feet Will return to explore again the feel of time lapse.

Brenda, Chris and Frida are caring and kind people. We arrived post flood and they worried about us all the way from Jo'burg to Hoedspruit in the mist and rain. The unit is well maintained and comfortable - a good stopover on the way to Orpen. Thanks again, Cheryl, Allison and Macrina - Canada and Trinidad and Tobago.

It was unbelievable! Buffalo drinking water out of the pool early every morning, this is nature on your doorstep.

Marula Wildlife Lodge 624
The lodge is situated just outside of Hoedspruit in Limpopo in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate and accommodates up to six people. We offer a luxury self-catering bushveld house in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. The self-catering lodge is privately owned, tastefully decorated, in a brand-new building and has a bushveld atmosphere. The bush is your garden and offers free roaming wildlife and a huge variety of bird species. It is private and within easy reach of the Orpen and Phalaborwa gates of the Kruger National Park. All the adventure activities are within a radius of between 2 km and 40 km from the lodges.

The estate is really beautiful, very green in the summer and dry in the winter but still warm enough to have a wonderful holiday. The animals roam freely around the lodges: various antelope, warthogs, hyenas, beautiful birds and giraffe. You can often sit right on the patio and take pictures of the animals. A waterhole and elevated hide are just a few roads down from the lodge Gwarrie road.

The lodge is air-conditioned and has ceiling fans, has a lovely big bathroom with a huge bath for two, a shower and his-and-hers basins. The two downstairs bedrooms each have two side-by-sides three-quarter beds, one room boasting a sliding door to the patio and the other room with its own outdoor shower. The upstairs loft kids always love a loft also has two three-quarter beds and its own little balcony to look out over the bush and majestic mountains in the distance. The rooms are equipped with hairdryers and there’s an iron and ironing board if needed. There is a television set and a satellite dish with plug point for your own decoder to be plugged in. Just bring along your decoder and smart card and follow the instructions provided at the TV.

The lodge is fully-equipped with everything you could need from high quality crisp white linen to fluffy white towels in the bathroom all to ensure the most comfortable stay as well as the splash pool to cool down in the heat, swimming towels also provided in the bedroom cupboards. There is a built-in braai on the patio and we have provided a braai grid for easy use toeknyprooster as well as a Potjie if you’re a Potjie King. There is also a large Weber kettle braai. There’s a lot to see in and around Hoedspruit. You will be warned if there are lions on the estate and walking or cycling is not recommended at such times. There is no need to pack a load in the car, there is a Family Pick ‘n Pay including liquor store at the entrance to the estate as well as a restaurant and a ladies bar. A short distance down the road there is yet another very nice restaurant at Raptors View.

This is a self-catering lodge; it is serviced before your arrival and after your stay. Arrival is expected any time after 2pm on the date of arrival and departure is expected any-time until 10am on the date of departure. Hoedspruit is just 4 hours’ drive from the Gauteng area. We promise you’ll love it.
