Stunning view, clean spacious room with everything you need. The hosts were friendly and made us feel at home from the start. Amazing breakfast.

16 Days during the Holiday season. Being well traveled I don't take a decision to stay somewhere lightly and the researching here certainly paid off. So well located in Gordon's Bay just outside the reaches of the madding crowd.Parking, location, views to the bay, even your own chef for breakfasts. Although the settings are great and the decor tasteful and sensible, the best part of this place is the personalities in charge. New owners Charlie and Cindy are at your every need and treat you with a mix of respect and homely friendliness that will have you wanting to come back. Cindy has more energy than the Duracell bunny on steroids. We loved each day and were sad to leave as early as we did on departure day since we would be missing breakfast, ... but Cindy rustled up a surprise that was truly memorable. If Gordon's Bay is your destination, 18 on Kloof should definitely be your home of choice.

Highly recommend 18 on Kloof for their home from home atmosphere.  The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable.  Everything is very clean and the breakfast was the best way to start a lovely day! 

The location was perfect, gentle stroll down to the beautiful little bay and restaurants. At night the lights of strand across the bay was very pretty. Breakfast in the lovely dining, lounge area was a great way to start each day. Beds very comfy. DVD player in room was helpful as the one day was very windy and it was great to hire a DVD in strand and just chill overlooking Gordon's Bay. Thank you to our lovely hosts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief one-night stay at 18 on Kloof. Rita and Pieter are fantastic hosts, nothing was too much for them to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Our room (the Elephant Room) was beautifully furnished, the tea/coffee making facility was great. We had a wonderful view over the Bay from our own private little balcony. The breakfast was yummy and was served in the beautiful big dining area with fantastic views over the False Bay area. Altogether a wonderful stay in a really great place. Thank you Rita and Pieter.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 18 on Kloof. The guesthouse is run professionally and the rooms are tidy and clean. The views are amazing! The hostess is very friendly and hospitable and makes one feel welcome at all times. I will definately visit them again, should I get the opportunity.

We had a wonderful time. Pieter and Rita were great hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will definitely return. Rita makes a great quiche!

It was my Honeymoon night, so what can I say.... it was perfect!

A better view you will find nowhere! You see the whole of False Bay and all the mountains. Stunning Afrikaans host and hostess together with a real "boerebrekfis" made it a stay to remember!

I especially loved 18 on Kloof B&B. It was the best of all my stays. The room was perfect, the view, the breakfasts...and Rita and Peter, quite the most delightful people to have had the pleasure of meeting. This has to be your shining star amongst all your properties. Ive stayed in many places, but this was the tops!!

This accommodation was perfect for our first night of a five week tour of South Africa. Only a short distance from Cape Town Airport yet with magnificent views of False Bay and Table Mountain. The room, view and breakfast were excellent. We found the owners to be very friendly, welcoming and very helpful especially as it was our first day in South Africa. Thoroughly recommended!

The accommodation was in a stunning setting. The room was beautifully done out and very comfortable. You don't want for anything. The host/hostess were very welcoming and made us feel at home. Spectacular views!!!

Delicous breakfast, stunning views

We had a wonderful experience....atmosphere laidback and welcoming!! Felt like home from home...difference being there was somebody worrying about your comfort etc all the time. We only hope that the new owners will keep up this standard...if so we will definitely be visiting again. Alan and Rik are fantastic hosts and great guys....future visitors have missed out on getting to know two lovely people. View fantastic..value for money...excellent....ten out of ten from us.

Overall great time with Rik doing a great job of keeping things going while Al was ill. Great room excellent food. Relaxed atmosphere near to all amenities.

The stay at Al's Hideaway was excellent. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Al & Rik were more than perfect hosts and made our stay more like a home than an ordinary guest house. I can recommend Al's to anyone.

We had a very relaxing stay of 3 nights at Als and enjoyed the view of the bay and mountians. The situation is somewhat noisy being just off the main road but otherwise very pleasent surroundings.
