This is a fantastic spot - a few kilometers from Stutterheim - breath-taking walks close by - well manicured lawns and an awesome owner - Tracey - who is amazing! A super getaway and a very affordable price. Will definitely be back! thanks Tracey! Geoff and Rose Probert  - Grahamstown

My second time at the establishment and, I must say, its simplicity and the cosyness of the cabins is really charming. Great value for money. Hoping to return soon!

We enjoyed our stay at Wattle Chop thoroughly. It is close to all the attractions Stutterheim has to offer and we will certainly visit again when we need accommodation in the area. Thank you, Cathy!
Highly recommended

Thanks Tracey for your friendliness and a wonderful stay. Friends joined later in tents and we did not even know the children were there. Enough to keep them busy and the mountain and area are perfect for mountain biking. Will definitely be back.

We stopped over at Wattle Chop en route to Port Alfred from Johannesburg. The cottages were very clean and fresh and the beds very comfortable. Tracy was extremely helpful and welcoming. I definitely recommend staying here and it really is value for money. There is a lake with canoes, etc and walks. We did not have time to do the activities but would have liked to. It was an ideal stopover as far enough from Joburg to get most of the travelling over with and then arrive at the coast after only a few hours driving.

Wattle Chop Accommodation
Tucked away among tall trees, under the gaze of the solemn Amatola Mountains, lies Wattle Chop. It is only 7 km from Stutterheim. Wattle Chop has a beautiful trimmed lawn dotted with trees; a perfect site for camping. Not far from the camping area are self catering cabins, fully equipped including linen and towels.

A dam with a raft and canoes entertains all for hours. Wattle Chop is sufficiently removed from town to make it feel like a different place but close enough for convenience. The perfect getaway for anyone, whether on business or pleasure.
