I m not impressed at all with the hotel.... yes the view if the ocean is amazing but their services are off key.

1. we would leave the hotel and come back in the afternoon and still find the room dirty then have the cleaners attempt to do it when we are there

2. the worst was on saturday we left the room in the morning and arrived around 11 we were asked to leave cause the room was not ready.... okay we came back after 2 to find the place dirty and the curtains were out bcs someone was fixing them and painted. i ended up asking for a broom and mop bcs no one had any intention of cleaning

3. always had to ask for towels

very disappointed
Not impressed

The person at reception requires training in basic people skills. We were not greeted nor received any welcoming at all. Not only was he toothless but was coughing uncontrollably and tried his best to ignore us. Never before had we experienced such lack in professionalism at an establishment. After checking in (signing a form which was shoved in my direction), he beckoned us to follow him towards our room. There were used ear buds and other garbage right in front of our room entrance. The room itself had no air conditioning (as advertised) - there was a regular fan mounted on the wall. Not even the impressive sea views could persuade us to stay the night. Although we have paid the full amount, we checked out and secured alternative accommodation. Very disappointed!
Lovely stay

View to die for, the room was big. Floor is tiled and no mats on the side of the bed and on bathroom. very few tv channels, breakfast was ok and the price is reasonable.

Clean, fairly well maintained accommodation.

Not the neatest or newest accommodation. Have to pay a deposit to get a remote for the TV which is crazy. It was comfortable though and the staff were friendly.

Affordable relatively basic accommodation, good service, great view, close to beach and restaurants. Was perfect for our needs.
Shocking experience

On check in they told us we needed to pay when we paid 3 weeks in advance to secure our booking. They then made us pay again and double debited our card. Finally the hotel is not in a good condition, we got no sleep as the wind caused the aluminium awning thing to bash and rattle the whole night! Our international visitor was totally horrified!

We had a marvellous time. The hotel kindly kept our luggage as we showed up at 8 in the morning when our check in was at 2 in the afternoon. They were very nice and polite and eager to help. The room was beautiful and clean with an excellent view. I wish we could have stayed longer
Recommended - central location

We stayed over for 10 nights in the adjacent self catering units during the December holidays, but we still had access to the hotel's pool and restaurant. The unit was clean, comfortable and spacious! We had a lovely Christmas lunch at the hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Will recommend this accommodation to anyone because of its cleanliness and central location.
Thank u for a wonderful stay.

A Majestic Breakaway
Gordon Moolman, South Africa - 02 March 2009
We decided to have a breakaway weekend from the Tsitsikamma , and decided to book in at the Chapman as we have heard good reviews about the Chapman and the great seafood served. The view from the Room was stunning and the presentation of the servings very impressive. We will definitley come again. Les and Gordon
