Thanks for the bedrooms. I booked it easy and fast with no problems.

Although we just slept for the night I still enjoyed the peace and comfortable beds.

Definitely will book them again.

Just what I required - Pine Valley
Richard Welch, South Africa - 18 September 2016
The little, more private, cottage, was just what I needed, with its little tree-lined enclosure and sitting-out space. The cottage itself was spotless and well appointed, the staff were warm and friendly and competent.A delicious breakfast was brought to me specially.
Stay in Weaver Chalet
Heidi O, South Africa - 04 July 2016
We stayed in Weaver Chalet for 2 nights. Large cottage with enough beds. All beds had heated blankets... wonderful. Very warm and friendly owner Geoff handled all our queries beautifully and even gave permission to bring our Jack Russel along... Thank you!

What was very sad was the small things that lacked... not enough plugs or extension leads to plug heated blankets in. We arrived at night and could not ask for assistance once we realised.  We were told that we had a private little yard but there were continually people walking through our yard to staff quaters maybe? We were woken up every morning around 5 or 6 by people opening a side gate to walk through. Garden is neglected... Interior of cottage neglected. Handles missing and replaced with screws to grip onto. Walls in 1 bathroom so dirty that yellow orange water dripped on rug. Orange lines all along the wall as water runs down. Kitchen wash cloth and sponge old. Fridge and kitchen drawers not 100% clean.

Could be a beautiful place with a little extra love and attention.
Delightful stay
Loma du Preez, South Africa - 14 March 2016
We enjoyed our brief stay at Pine Valley.  The unit were clean & tidy and we appreciated the mosquito repellent :-).  Just a few suggestions.  Parking close to our unit were tricky due to other parked vehicles - I believe guest of a conference or something.

We enjoyed it, although we struggled a few minutes to get in on Saturday afternoon, because none of the three numbers at the gate was helpful and no one answered the bell! The pool/dam had a terrible smell the whole weekend. Very few crockery for a thatch that sleeps eight, everything not so clean. Some mattresses and the towels can be replaced! It's close to a busy road, the noise of the traffic and some planes were not so peaceful! We enjoyed the fire place and outside braai!
Friendly hosts!!

Bertus Brink, South Africa - 21 January 2013
Place not clean. Curtains, bedding and towels pathetic, must be replaced. Cleaners does not clean the chalets properly, dusty allover, floors also dirty.

Service below par
Lee Bramwell, South Korea - 30 January 2012
Firstly, there was no one to greet us when we arrived, despite me sending an email to the owners to inform them of our arrival time. When someone did arrive, they didn't introduce themselves. The chalet itself has a very homely feel, for a self-catering chalet. The next morning we got up early as we were hot air ballooning, only to find that no-one had informed us to put the geyser on. So we had to take a cold shower at 4am in the morning. Check out time is 10am in the morning, but its stated in the pamphlet in the chalet that they are easy with the check out times. So as we having breakfast, the cleaner brings us our invoice and informs us that we should leave early as they expecting more guests that afternoon. No one had informed us about this when we arrived. So we had to finish our breakfast and be out of the chalet in about 20 minutes. The accommodation itself is fine, with close proximity to the sites of interest. But the service was really pathetic and below par. The lady that helped us settle our bill didn't even ask how our stay was. I would not recommend this establishment to any of my friends or family.
Happy stay

Christelle Rothmann, South Africa - 11 November 2011
Het heerlik gebly en sal weer daar bly. Baie rustige en mooi omgewing. Het veral van die bokke en honde gehou. Dit het gevoel of ek by my eie huis was. Had an enjoyable stay and will stay here again. Very peaceful and beautiful environment. Especially liked the goats and the dogs. It felt like i was in my own house.
Quaint and charming
S.J. Naude, South Africa - 21 May 2011
The venue itself has a very quaint and welcoming feel to it. The rooms are cosy, yet spacious. The addition of a fireplace is always a bonus. The surrounding attractions add to the feeling of escape from the bustling city life. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again!
Riekie Swartz, South Africa - 04 April 2011

Most enjoyable. Peaceful and restful. The accommodation was excellent. The host, Geoff, was always on hand to ensure we were well looked after. Recommended to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Good value for money
Simon Read, South Africa - 26 May 2010
Good value for money. On the "rustic" side - which is just what we like. Good place to chill, very friendly and easy to find.
Home from home
Dee Penfold, South Africa - 04 May 2010
On arrival I was very pleased to see that it was the same place we had stayed at 7 years ago for another family wedding (but couldn't for the life of me remember the name) so it was "home from home". When we were leaving my husband discovered that he had misplaced his late fathers signet ring. The family searched the place and then decided it must be in a waistcoat pocket that had been returned - On arrival at our next destination (1 1/2 hrs away) we were informed that the ring was not there ! I suggested to my husband that he phone Geoff and to see if they could try and find it - shortly Geoff phoned to advise it had been found - what a relief - I do not know of many places that go to the trouble Geoff and his staff did - Thank you.
Highly recommended for a stay over...
Kelly Da Costa, South Africa - 23 March 2010
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pine Valley. Geoff was very friendly and the kids loved having all the dogs around, it made it for them. The cottage was very clean and spacious and the setting was perfect for what we required and close to the wedding venue.
Monika Fischer, South Africa - 27 January 2010
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the cottage neat and comfortable! Excellent braai area! Small things like the broken toilet seat and clogged shower head need to be attended to though. Highly recommended as affordable overnight accommodation for one of the weddings nearby.
Our stay at Pine Valley
Anonymous, South Africa - 04 January 2010
The experience was just what we needed. Quiet and relaxing. Away from the busyness of the city life. The facilities were clean, neat and very comfortable. Not to mention fully equipped with all the necessities. The surrounding areas of interest, are only a short distance away e.g. Cradle of Humankind. Nothing is to much trouble for Geoff. Thank you so very much. We so enjoyed our stay and shall be back to visit.
