Unique atmosphere!
thomas pighetti, Italy - 24 August 2011
This guesthouse deserves a special comment both for the place and the kindness of the owner. Lots of beautiful details in the breakfast room near the pool and also in the room. Moreover, fresh flowers everywhere! The breakfast was rich and delicious. The owner was really a friend. She recommended beautiful places to visit. Thank you, best choice in Simonstown!
Just as advertised and better

Upper deck perfection
Melvyn Lowther, United Kingdom - 27 February 2011
We ended our South African holiday hoping for a perfect stay in the Upper Deck at the Boat House and were not disappointed. Terese is a great hostess and obviously enjoys what she is doing, and she is greatly assisted by Elize. The room and breakfasts were wonderful. It was just a shame that the weather stopped us having breakfast on the balcony every day. The view is to die for and we shall certainly return in the future. It should be noted that it is a 15-minute walk into the town and, as it is on a hill, closer to a 30-minute walk back! We are both retired and had no trouble doing it and of course there's always the car!

Beautiful guest house laden with all the special "little touches" that make a big impact on the guests! Will definitely recommend it and return to it! A great spot for couples or families to get away from it all for a few days.
One night in Simons Town is not enough!

What a find - we were glad to have found this special guesthouse! Therese was a fabulous host - she ensured our stay was as perfect as it could have been and her attention to details was not unnoticed. We stayed in the Upper Deck and found this room extremely well equipped, clean and comfortable. The views from the balcony were a delight - we saw whales in the morning. Our breakfast was delicious and served in the sunshine on our balcony - it was the best breakfast of our holiday! We would stay here again without hesitation - the location is spot on with lots to do and see, there are lovely seafood restaurants a short drive away.
Rooms beautifully decorated

We have just recently returned from a brief time away in Cape Town and couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Therese - you are super - so accommodating - you went out of your way to make our stay comfortable and all the finer details were very much appreciated (like the fresh posies next to our beds etc). The accommodation was clean and neat and the rooms beautifully decorated. the views were spectacular.. All in all we had a very relaxed time and want to take the rest of the family back .... soon :)
