It was just what we needed , a peaceful break away from the busy city. We loved everything from the rooster 🐓 crowing in the morning 🌄 till the beautiful 😍 sunset at night. We spend most of out time sitting on the stoep while staring at the mountains. We will definitely go back ... thank you Robin. 😊

If you need a quick or extended get away from the hustle and bustle, you should consider Brown’s Cabin and Cottage. Lovely, friendly service with a comfortable cottage. Not only was the stay relaxing, but also very affordable.

We stayed in Pecan Cottage, it had a lovely patio with stunning views of the mountains and garden. We had privacy from our neighbors. The firepit located in front of the cottage set the scene for an evening bonfire and roasting marshmallows. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you to Robyn for her hospitality.

The host is very welcoming, the cottage is very cozy. The location is beautiful. They host has a very friendly dog. I have no complains, i would definitely go back.

The cabins were super clean, wonderfully decorated and had all the amenities one would need. Would definitely come again.

I live the tranquil atmosphere and that you are able to go in and out of the property without anyone bothering you.

The people are the friendliest. The cabin is clean, lovely decorated. The farm is so peacefull. I loved the stralls down the road. The lanes. The effort done by the host and also her mom. I will be back definitely. Changed me. Well needed r&r.

We had a super time although just too short. Hostess was oely and very friendly and very accommodation. Would recommend this lovely place to anyone needing a beautiful and restful place to stay.

The accommodation unit sleeps up to 4 people. It was a lovely, sparkling clean and comfortable unit. Small touches makes such a difference. There was complimentary cherry in the unit. The highlight was Helen. What a gem. She was lovely from the start. She assisted with directions and made it easier to get to the accommodation as the directions is quite tricky. We had a lovely arrival experience, she did the meet & greet. And she was extremely friendly and explained everything so well. A big thank you to Helen. We will definitely be back in the near future.

Had a good stay. Beautiful and tranquil just what we needed for our anniversary

Firstly, we were made to feel extremely welcome when we arrived. Secondly, our cottage was immaculately set up and clean. Thirdly, the surrounding view of the mountains and nature in general was breathtaking. As a side note, was thoroughly surprised by the outside shower, which we also enjoyed greatly.

My boyfriend and I wanted a quick getaway close to home yet secluded, Brown’s Cabin and Cottages was the perfect place! Such a fresh and tranquil environment! I most certainly felt relaxed. Helen and Robin were absolutely lovely, would definitely go visit there again.

We stayed in the cabin which has sufficient space, a comfy couch, great deck and braai area. The outside shower is a highlight with amazing views of the mountain.

Home away from home, absolutely love the serenity and bliss! One of my fav break-away destinations.

Clean rooms, great bathroom, comfortable bed and friendly. A little spot off the main thoroughfare that you wouldn't really know about. Very quiet which we liked.

Owner was fantastic and we loved her cats one of them shared our accommodation and we were missing our cat so this made us feel at home. Our only disappointment was the signage to find it and it should be a Bed and Breakfast not just sleep over.

My girlfriend and I spent Saturday night in the Browns Cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The welcome was warm and inviting, the accommodation was great and all the small things that other accommodation don't think of made the evening. The road getting into and out of the establishment was also easily negotiationed by my small hatchback. We will definitely be going back.

Browns is a quaint, rustic, antiquely typical farmhouse cottage nestled at the end of a long driveway amongst rows of pecan nut trees that shroud the majestic mountains of Magaliesburg, and offers an abundance of tranquility. The unit sports all the basics with beautiful bedding and lovely towels. Helen and David are unobtrusively nearby and gracious hosts.

We had a very relaxing one night stay in the De Wet Cottage. Neat accommodation and has everything needed. Will definitely recommend this to friends.

We only stayed for one night and didn't get much time to stay but we regret not having more time there as it was an amazing accommodation and definitely hope to be back sometime soon. 

the cottage was clean and well kept. We  enjoyed the de wet cottage.

We had an amazing stay at Browns for a family wedding at Leopard Lodge, which was only about 2km away! Very neat, clean and nicely decorated! We stayed as a family at De wets Cottage and Pecan which is ideal traveling as a a group! Robin, the owner is also very friendly and helpful at all times!! Beautifull setting and relaxed!! Will definitely visit again and will highly recommend Browns!

Amazing 3 night stay. Outdoor shower with warm water was an absolute pleasure. Great hosts. Wonderful views and so relaxing.Plenty to do nearby . Would love to have stayed the entire week.

a stunningly laid out cabins with a heartfelt feeling of welcome, planning on going back in the summer to go and see the contrast diffference of summer on the whole place. It is well worth the visit and make it a weekend, overnight just isn't enough.

What a surprise finding Brown's Cabin & Cottage amongst a pecan nut plantation.  Our cabin had a lovely view and would definitely recommend it to people passing by or people who would like to spend a weekend in the Harties area.  We felt very safe as well. 

We had such a lovely stay at Browns, close to all the tourist attractions as well as a lot of wedding venues in the area. Helen and the team goes over and above expectations to make you feel at home. The rooms are beautifully put together with a country modern feel. Situated in the peaceful surroundings of the Magaliesberg mountains. Ideal for people that are coming for weddings, who love nature, adventure sports, or just to break away from the Rat Race. I am a trail runner and Browns is 2km away from Van Gaalens Trails, that has over 100km of trails. We will definitely be back in the near future!

We had such a lovely time. The place is well looked after, and we enjoyed the stay immensely.

The suite is beautifully decorated, every need possible is catered for and the reception friendly even past midnight. Would have loved to be able to stay longer.

Thanks for an enjoyable weekend. Place is very quiet and neat. I like that it is so close to all the places of interest a round Harties area. Will love to do it again. The only thing I would have liked is a breakfast serves on the premises. Otherwise it was perfect for me.

We stayed at Browns Cottage over the weekend when we travelled up from Durban to see Michael Buble at Sun City. We found David and Helen to be very hospitable and they made sure we had all we needed. We booked two cottages and one room in main house. All were very well equipped and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a very comfortable stay at Browns. I really liked the funky modern décor and was happy in the Pecan Cottage. It is very central to anything in Hartebeespoor. Lovely to relax at and just look at the mountain and the view.

We enjoyed our stay and would return again - this time only when it's a lot warmer.

I took my fiancè to Browns cabin for the weekend on his birthday. We really enjoyed it. It was romantic and very relaxing, and the view of the Magalies mountains was breathtaking. Browns Cabin will definitely see us again.

We were lucky enough to visit the Cabin during the most beautiful wet weather, which transformed the landscape into the most beautiful green I've ever seen and added in the tranquility it has to offer. Everything was perfect, from friendly hosts to perfect decor and amazing views. I would recommend Browns Cabin to anyone who wants to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life for a few days. The Cabin was affordable and exceeded my expectations and I would love to go back there someday.

The cabin is fully furnished, you just need to bring your food and drinks. Nice and quiet and private. We loved it.

My husband and I and the kids had a wonderful time at the Cabin, it was beautiful. We went there for 1 night for our 5yr wedding anniversary. So peaceful and relaxing with stunning views. The cabin is lovely, comfortable and so beautifully decorated! Everything was so clean and fresh, nice linen and towels, and nice little "extra's" were provided like bubble bath and Valpre water's in the fridge. It was very special. Definitely will go there again.

Our stay at Browns Cabin was absolutely fantastic. I at first didn't know what to expect and was a little nervous about what we would find since I planned the night as a surprise for my boyfriend. What we found took our breath away, it is located on the most beautiful pecan nut farm with the best view on the Magalies mountains. The cabin itself is a modern, yet very romantic little destination with everything you need and friendly hosts ready to assist you with whatever you need. We can't complain about anything, our stay was fantastic and we would definitely do it again. It is a safe destination (safer that the average South African destination, we do live in South Africa, never forget that), considering we forgot our fondue outside on the stoep the whole night and it was still there the next morning. I'd recommend Browns Cabin to anyone and we can't wait to go back for a night or two.

Sjoe, die Browns het regtig ekstra moeite gedoen om ons te laat welkom voel. Die linne was kraakvars en pragtig. Ons het heerlik op die stoep gesit en eet. Ons kannie nie glo ons was eintlik so naby aan die stad nie. Baie dankie vir 'n heerlike blaaskans.

The small detail, such as Lint chocolate on the pillow really makes the stay just extra special, and the mood is of relaxation and calmness. The cabin is a treasure in this country and we can't wait to go there again.

So friendly and warm. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was beautifully decorated and there was meticulous attention to detail. Lovely touches, such as scented candles, luxury soaps and extra blankets. Would have been great, though, to have a shower rather than/in addition to a bath.
