Deon De Waal was baie gasvry. Hy het seker gemaak ons het als wat ons nodig het. Die plek het die verwagte standaarde oorskry. Alles was baie netjies en skoon. Die boottrip was ongelooflik. Baie dankie. Sal beslis die plek aanbeveeel.
Catching a big barbel
Martin Van den Heever - Thursday, 23 March 2017
Although this resort comes from yesteryear it had a nice setup as far as the bar and restaurant is concerned. We appreciated that we could fish from the owners boat that was moored on the river bank. I had a stroke of luck catching a big barbel from there much to the delight of all the German guests who enjoyed taking some photos. The tented accommodation is in a horrific state and should rather be retracted until renovations has been completed. It was by far the worst accommodation that we stayed in on our trip and detracts from what could have been a great resort.
Terrible

Me and my wife recently travel through Namibia, Chobe and Botswana and stayed in various lodges but Rainbow was the worst. Last 700 metres to Rainbow not motor vehicle friendly middle centre of road very high. Arriving at 16.00 hours with 38 degrees Celsius, no gold water or ice available, no electric kettle in chalet, no chairs to sit on, nothing in chalet to cool of any drinks or water, no bin in chalet, not semi disadvantage friendly from Chalet to Restaurant cement path very uneven and rough I have tried to drive to the restaurant from the chalet but the road was also not motor vehicle friendly. I think the price per unit is to expense for the facilities compared to other lodges we stayed in for the same price. Never again at Rainbow. On the positive this is a very beautiful site next to the river. Photos also misleading. Maybe campsite is better.
Restful

We only stayed one night at the Rainbow River Lodge but could have stayed longer. The food was great and the location just about perfect!
Query

This is really a rustic camp, the best of all is that I had booked well in advance for two chalets, and the day we arrived they only had two "rooms" available. I think they chased the sevants out to accommodate us. we refused there alternate arrangements and they then booked us in at another camp which was excellent. Looking back we are so glad that they were full.

Wewere very pleased with our stay at the Rainbow River Lodge. Was a magnificent experience. We were treated very well and they were very kind to us. The safaris along the river and in the jeep were excellent. Thank you for your hospitality during our stay.

Great place to camp and lovely location next to the river. Hot water in the showers in the evening would add to the enjoyment.

This is a lovely place. Nice people and good food. Due to our planning we stayed only for one night, but which we could stay longer. We will definitely return.
Nice spot but skip breakfast here

Great spot at the Okavango River. Accomodation is very basic. Breakfast time offers cold scrambled eggs, if there's any left (no refills). Dinner is slightly better but heavily overpriced.

Rainbow River Lodge
Rainbow River Lodge lies on the banks of the Okavango river in the North of Namibia near Bagani and Divundu. We have 27 en-suite chalets and 20 riverside campsites with power points, ablution blocks, hot water and grass areas. There are 84 bird species and two game parks nearby, Mahango and Buffalo parks. In the parks you can see four of the big 5. We do fishing charters.

We do boat trips on the river to Popa Falls, you can see hippos, crocodiles and birds. Guided village walks to the local people. Bird watching, fishing, swimming in our pool or relaxing on our sun deck complete the menu. A restaurant and bar facilities available.

One can expect quality service, accommodation and food at very reasonable prices. All our activities were rated at a high standard and are very popular. This is truly Africa.
