We found the facilities to be good and really enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious which suited us fine. The price we paid was very good value for money and Im certain we would stay here again in time to come. The booking process through Rooms For Africa was very fast and efficient as well.

We stayed 1 night in this top class accommodation and would have been happy to stay longer. The attention to detail in the room was superb, loved the touches of the old and the new. I have never seen such a beautiful bath in an en-suite before. The history of the accommodation was most interesting, especially being an ex Rhodes University student. Our room was next to the pool and patio area and provided the perfect getaway. Breakfast was provided and the service and surroundings in the dining area was excellent. Would highly recommend staying here.

Centrally situated - (in fact just across the road from Rhodes university and in walking distance of the shops) High Corner Guest House provided all the old world charm one expects of a frontier B & B We stayed 2 nights/3 days in one of the flatlets behind the main building. It was a delightful venue and a perfect place to spend a relaxing evening. Breakfasts were served in the aim house, the dining hall also had the old world charm of a bygone era but with modern facilities. Our hostess was delightful, but not intrusive. Highly recommended for when visiting Grahamstown.

This was our 1st stay at High Corner Guest House. We would and will most definitely go back. Great location in GT. Walking distance to restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, banks etc. Sandy was a perfect Manager (I think she was the Manager). Room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was superb. Not just the food and service but also, unlike most guest houses you are not forced to sit on a table with others. But the cosy nature of the breakfast room lent itself to talking to other guests if one chooses to. We made friends with a lovely English couple staying at the guest house. I gave feedback on the absence of a central wall mirror in the bathroom above the sink that is essential for men’s shaving and Jenny (the owner I think) did not bat an eyelid. Within seconds she had a solution and when I returned to my room in the evening there was a temp mirror mounted above the sink. Dont hesitate to book this guest house when you are next in GT.

I was fortunate enough to have the good sense to book two nights at High Corner Guest House. I found it to be scrupulously clean and oh so comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious, and the bed and duvet a real treat. Breakfast was delicious and the staff went out of their way to accommodate 7 of us at one table. Thank you to all who made our stay at High Corner so special. I will definitely stay there again.

After a long tiring journey from Natal to the Eastern Cape we were glad to see Grahamstown and when we saw the cottage we were more than delighted. So charming and so full of antiques and really looked the 1852 era inside. The bedroom was comfortable and unique in its furnishings - old bath and wooden panelling on the walls which just made it perfect to relax.
We were met by the owners and made more than welcome; and the breakfast was divine and overall impression was lovely and homely atmosphere in the lodge. Thank you.

A warm welcome. A comfortable, well-equipped room. A sunny garden sheltered behind a stone wall. At the very cross-roads of Grahamstown life. And, I would add, good value. Highly recommended.
