Amazing breakfasts, special and different to most breakfasts. The host has so much passion in what she does.

It was a great stay and very relaxing. Paula is an extremely warm and accommodating host. She even went as far as catering for our special needs which we even forgot to mention to her. Delicious breakfasts and even a snack for the road.Thank you once again Paula. We look forward to staying at Africas Beaded Bird B&B in future.

We spent 5 nights here in December 2013 and we cannot rate this establishment highly enough. Our accommodation was fantastic, Paula's breakfasts were magnificent, but the friendship we formed with Paula, her fine husband Kevin and son Tyler, was a revelation. Their warm hospitality and marvellous company made our stay something special.

Paula had to come rescue us as we were going in the wrong direction! She did this very happily I may add. Our rooms were very tasteful with nice little extras. She made us a delicious meal in the evening as well as giving us snacks with our drinks on the patio before dinner. A really nice touch and very thoughtful.
We will certainly be using Africa Beaded Bird again when we come to the coast.

I found the hostess delightful and welcoming - a really nice person. The room was really tastefully decorated and presentation was excellent. I will definitely make use of the Beaded Bird every time that I travel.

After a long and tiring journey from the UK, arrived at Africas Beaded Bird and were welcomed most warmly by Paula. After being shown to our room, we had a very comfortable night and then a delicious breakfast in the morning. Everything was perfect and I can highly recommend this establishment. If in Durban again, we will certainly return.

I had a nice stay at the Africas Beaded Bird Bed and Breakfast - it felt like I was at home. The host Paula is a terrific lady who is always so friendly with a smile. The rooms were neat. The breakfast was excellent prepared very well. I would definitely go to Africas Beaded Bird Bed and Breakfast for another stay.

Absolutely more than we expected!

Coming on holiday to SA for the last 7 years we have stayed at many B&B’s, but the hospitality we received at Africas Beaded Bird B&B was seldom so high. The accommodation was perfect. The way we were welcomed by Paula was very warm and we felt very safe and well during our stay in Amanzimtoti.

On arrival in Durban we got a little lost, the wife phoned Paula Davidson to ask for directions. We where told to wait were we were and that we would be fetched and shown the way. Within five minutes Paula arrived and we then followed her to the B&B. We were welcomed as if we were one of her family coming for a stay, we were then shown to our room, on entering the first thing that we noticed was the attention to detail of the room with regards to the bedding, decorations and the flowers that were placed on the bed. The food that was prepared was excellent as nothing that was served was cooked in oil or fat. Every evening when returning to the room there was a small token placed on our beds, be it flowers or chocolates. It was like being in another world. Did not know that there were still people out there that had such a flare and passion for what they did. Both my wife and I wish Paula all the success in the future and hope that her business grows from strength to strength.

We just cannot express our appreciation and gratitude for the hospitality. Our stay was a memorable one. We will certainly go back again!

My husband & I were really impressed with the Bearded Bird. The hospitality was fantastic. Breakfast......absolutley delicious! Our hostess Paula made it extra special (knowing that it was our honeymoon) by creating a wonderful atmosphere with flowers & candles. We highly recommend this establishment. Well done Paula!

Paula was wonderful and the rooms amazing! The decor was very African and simple, made me feel like I was staying in a very modern Zulu village. My family and I had a brilliant time and will definitely make our way there again this year!

Besides the bad weather - the stay was FAB!! Paula is such an awesome hostess and makes everyone feel very much at home. It's definitely the personal touch that counts for a lot (...as well as her delicious breakfast, she cooks like an angel) and my boyfriend and i will definitely be back for more!!!
