Loved the electric blanket as it was cold

We really enjoyed our stay with no TV and no WiFi. The starry night sky. The peacefullness of the farm, the sheep bellowing, the walks, just what was needed.

Great accommodation with beautiful view, would definitely recommend. Had a warm and friendly welcome thanks Lizette.

We had a amazing experience at Blue gum farm, Lizette was super friendly when we arrived, we could contact her for anything, the kids loved the outdoors, views from the cottage is breathtaking, Lizette even surprised our kids with treats on the Saturday...would definitely recommend it

Had four lovely nights living in peaceful surroundings. Read, ate, slept and enjoyed the view. Lizette was very welcoming and was there if we needed her.

Looking at the photos and previous reviews we knew we wouldn't be disappointed, and we certainly weren't! It was beautiful out there, the views are spectacular from the stoep, the house was really clean, it had everything we needed for our stay - altogether a great experience!

From our warm welcome from Lizette on Thursday evening, to our reluctant departure on Sunday morning, our stay at Blue Gum Farm Cottage was just wonderful. The cottage is perfectly equipped, comfortable, cosy and beautifully situated with a view of the fields and distant mountains. There is a fireplace indoors and a braai with grid (and light!) outside. Even though it was cold we couldn't resist sitting outside for hours at the table, enjoying the view and the fresh air and playing ball games on the lawn. We also took several day trips to nearby towns, including Arniston, Napier, Greyton and the enchanting Genadendal. Coming back to 'our' cottage every afternoon was always a pleasure. Our three-year-old loved the games, toys and sweets that were so thoughtfully provided, and the adults enjoyed special sweet treats on our pillows too! This cottage is among the loveliest we have stayed in, and we have done a fair number of self-catering holidays around South Africa. Thank you, Lizette, for a very special farm stay!

if you want a supremely clean, modern, but quiet countryside get away, this is what you need. We enjoyed the absolute quite no-traffic anywhere overnight stay. The owner's friendly instructions and good communication made it easy to locate. I we could, we would have stayed longer. (No TV. forces one to talk and spend time together, instead of looking at a screen all the time - bad habit)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Blue Gum cottage. Such beautiful scenery and the cottage had everything we needed. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you to Lizette for being so accommodating.

What a gorgeous tranquil place to stay. We will definitely stay there again. I have given 4 stars as if I had been staying longer I would have liked an oven but maybe next time we will just bring the weber. Thank you Lizette for supplying such great accommodation.

We were very impressed with the attention to detail in the cottage. It is very clean and well stocked. Great kitchen, bathroom (incl bath) lounge furniture, stoep couch and braai.

Lizette was the perfect host on the farm. Leaving us to enjoy our little cottage in privacy while always being on hand if we needed anything. Blue Gum is a place to unwind and my two sons loved the chance to run a bit wild on a real sheep farm.

This cottage is surrounded by beautiful valleys of fields of colour. It is so tranquil here at Blue Gum that it was a pity we didn't stay longer. Lizette has put so much love and care into this cottage; it has everything you need and the bed is extremely comfortable. Very clean, spacious and well-decorated, it felt luxurious! Definitely a place to unwind and catch up with your partner or friends. I can't wait to return.

It was great being on the farm at wheat harvesting and sheep shearing time. As photographers we enjoyed the many photographic opportunities. Lizette was a wonderful hostess and made us very welcome. We will definitely go back there when we are in the area.
