Maybe a bit of cleanup around the river following the floods?

We stayed here just for one night and were very impressed with the level of service we received. The accommodation was beautiful and well-equiped and the jacuzzi was such a treat. The food was so delicious, my partner could not stop raving about it. And their private picnics are so romantic being next to the river. Definitely will return.

Luscious Lethabo

What an emotional, spiritual and culinary gem. The attention to detail was incredible and the personnel (owner: Lise, Chefs: Thomas and Chris) went beyond the boundaries of excellence to accommodate every whim.
The romantic picnic was detailed and personalized to the last dish. Served in the privacy of our own cottage made it so much more spectacular.
The Water likkewaan, geese and vast birdlife made this experience extraordinary.
The fire dancing by Lise was the pinnacle of professionalism combined with our adoration and total amazement.

Lethabo Estate was the best birthday surprise choice I'd made...

What a hidden Gem... The service was great, the scenery, beautiful, even in winter. If you feel like breaking away from the hustle and bustle of JHB without travelling too far, this is the ideal place! Don't forget the food. It was amazing. As for the picnic, its a must!

I needed to find a place near Joburg for a last minute night away for my wife and I. I booked the night on SafariNow and received immediate confirmation. This was followed up by a call from the venue to confirm details including arranging a wondering dinner picnic in our room. The venue is very beautiful on the banks of the river and even though it is winter, it has a lovely charm and atmosphere. The food and service were excellent and its a great romantic getaway for those looking for a rustic and charming venue like this. We definitely will be back!

I was fortunate enough to have been a guest at Lethabo Estate this weekend. We were made to feel at home from the minute we arrived and have been spoiled and pampered by Lise and her team. We were in the Kingfisher Suite with a view of the river and spent the afternoon just sitting and admiring the view. Dinner was sublime and having dinner while sitting outside in a relaxed atmosphere was just what we needed. I can highly recommend Lethabo Estate and dinner is an absolute must! It is a place where you can recharge and feed your soul.

The estate is conveniently located and the surroundings is beautiful. The food at Lethabo is excellent! But we were disappointed in the chaos while we were there. It is an expensive stay, and we felt that the attention to detail, were definitely lacking.

it's the perfect place to treat your loved one to a romantic getaway and piece and quite experience. The owners are kind and very helpful. the food exquisite and special. you should really indulge in a weekend here!!!

This was a peaceful, idyllic weekend away for my family and I. The accommodation was comfortable, the food was excellent and the service was superb. We fully intend to revisit the estate and recommend this weekend away in the country for anyone wanting relief from the rat race. Compliments to Lise and her team for making our stay a memorable one.

Our honeymoon in the romantic River Tree Cottage was spectacular, owing particularly to the fantastic setting of the cottage and the superb yet discreet service by Lise, Paul, their talented chef and courteous staff. We're just sorry that we didn't spend enough time there and the stay was so brief. We definitely intend coming back for a longer stay and then we'll make a point of spending much more time enjoying the tranquility of the beautiful surroundings. Bravo, Lise and Paul.

My partner and I were very much relaxed by peace and quietness of Lethabo. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer. Exceptional service from James, Lissa and company!

Everything was fantastic from start to finish, we had a fantastic stay and we were sorry it was so short. Absoltuely amazing to know that we could go away to a resort so close to home and yet still accomplish the feeling of a holiday far from the hustle and bustle of city life.
