Stayed in starfish. It's a neat and tidy room. Perfect for our little family.

We stayed 2 nights in the Seagull Apartment. It's really comfortable with a nice kitchen and outside area for a Braai. The please was immaculately clean and is located close to the main beach and town. Really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Anchor’s Rest....the surrounding area absolutely beautiful! The establishment was peaceful, clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped with everything that we required. Hilary and her daughter were helpful, informative and efficient in attending to us. We would definitely recommend Anchor’s Rest for a peaceful getaway!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The Establishment is everything you could want for a sneaky weekend get away! Clean, spacious well equipped and an amazing bed! It was a pleasure to meet Guy and we will definitely be back!

We stayed at Anchors Rest for 3 nights. The accommodation was pleasant and the owner, Guy ,very informative about the area. After a long hot day playing golf in Hermanus is was wonderful to go back to the tranquillity of Anchors Rest and have a swim in the pool. We had everything in our apartment that we needed and we enjoyed Hermanus greatly - we shall go back I hope.

Guy went out of his way to assist us with making other arrangements during our stay! The continental breakfast brought to your room in the morning is very good and worth the extra few Rand! Will stay there next time we are in Hermanus!!!

A good choice if you don't want to be in the town itself (its 2km from the centre) since its very quiet and easy to find. We arrived quite late (9pm) but fortunately called the owner and he left us the keys to collect on arrival. The room (Pebbles) is purpose built as a s/c unit so works really well, having a mini kitchen with fridge, microwave, toaster and plates etc (no actual cooker). The bed was excellent quality and room spacious and light. Recommend it for a short stay

The accommodation was easy to find, clean & comfy. Guy was very helpful in making reservations for our boat trip to see the whales.

We loved our room at Anchors Rest, though we didn't get to use it much--had an early morning departure. Location is good, though not much of an ocean view. The room was great, and would have been perfect if we had been staying for more than one night--large, nice bathroom, comfy bed, nice kitchenette. Guy was also great and very accommodating. Highly recommend.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Anchors Rest.Guy was the perfect host.We were treated with friendliness and it made the visit a "whale" of a time.

Anchors Rest was a nice establishment and we enjoyed our stay in the area. The unit was well maintained and nicely furnished. The Hillary and Guy were very attentive to our requests and inquiries. The walks along the cliffs were wonderful and very peaceful. The Information center downtown was very helpful for our stay in the area. Anchors Rest is conveniently located just outside of the busy harbor area (20 min. walk or short drive).

We used the self-catering unit at Anchors Rest, and found it to be neat, compact, and excellent for our purposes in a two-night stay. The owner, Guy, was very chatty upon arrival and departure, and our rooms were well-attended to.

Just a bunch of friends and my boyfriend went up there on a whim and we had such a cool time! Breakfast was sensational and the place was perfect!

Although we only stayed at this guest house for one night, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The accommodation was superb. Peaceful and spotlessly clean, and only a short walk to the sea. Guy and Hilary were very helpful, accommodating and provided us with a delicious breakfast. We would definitely return in the future, should we revisit South Africa.

Anchor's Rest was fantastic. Ideal to just relax and rest out.

We had a wonderful three days, Anchors rest is one of the most pleasant B&B / Self catering places I have ever stayed in. Guy (the owner) is a very friendly welcoming gentlemen. Our apartment was so nice and clean it was really great. Oh yes one of my highlights was the fact that the pool is a salt pool that was great. We will go back to Anchors rest again as it is really a lovely place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay in a spacious room, nicely decorated and with all facilities. Great location for a walk along the cliff path towards the whale watching rocks. Being surrounded by ocean and mountains views, made this a special place to stay.

Anchors Rest accommodation is Fantastic. All I wanted, a home from home, linen is stunning! Overall I would love to stay there again.

Having travelled to various locations around the world and in Southern Africa, I would like to express my joy over our stay at Anchors Rest in Hermanus. The arrangements were made with expertise and efficiency and the welcome was wonderful. The 'loft' where we stayed on the property was 'private', which is what we wanted, and well appointed. The main room was light, airy and large. The ammenities on the same level where more than adequate and although there was no kitchen sink to wash dishes, this was taken care of on a daily basis by the invisible fairy who also serviced the rooms! The beach is only a whisper away and the views in the whole area were breath-taking. Thank you for the hospitality extended to us and we have no reserve in not only recommending this area for visitation, but also recommend a well earned rest time at this lovely establishment.
