Weekend in Worcester
Gay McCormick, South Africa - 29 September 2014
Lovely old farmhouse, with great pool area and green lawns. Beautiful old dining room. Loved the staff - two very friendly and helpful ladies, who went out of their way to make our stay great. It was freezing cold, so the electric blankets on the beds were a great treat.

Room ill prepared. Beds not conducive to sleep - like lying in a hammock. No one at reception. Ages to check out. Meals third rate. Amateur approach to their business. Not recommended
Excellent value-for-money weekend break

Aan de Doorns was the perfect venue for a training weekend for a group of friends and their families. Marita went out of her way to provide us with everything we needed, and was extremely flexible. It really was an extremely good value-for-money weekend.

Aan de Doorns Guesthouse
Aan De Doorns is a historic Cape Dutch farm homestead offering warm hospitality in a tranquil “farm-living" setting. The farmstead was built around 1860, the rooms are spacious, decorated with unique themed interiors and en-suite bath rooms.

We have family rooms in three and four bed configurations. The fully equipped communal guest kitchen and braai area allow for semi-self-catering requirements. Dinners, packed lunches and or laundry facilities are available upon request. Full English or Continental breakfast is served in the ambiance of true heritage hospitality with preserves and bread from the locally community. In summer the terrace under vine and pool area are ideal for relaxation and during winter we gather around the Welcome Dover to toast the day’s experiences in the Breede Valley.

Aan de Doorns guesthouse is an ideal home from home for foreign visitors, or local families and their friends to take time out to participate in the myriad of activities on offer on Route 62/R43 and explore scenic drives off the beaten track. Evoke memories of by gone years and carefree childhoods in a family friendly atmosphere; here we call it heritage hospitality.

Guests can make use of the cooling facilities, ice maker and filtered water on tap in the communal guest kitchen. Braai facilities at your disposal with swimming pool, hammock and patio under vines. A communal TV/tasting room with Welcome Dover stove and cozy log fire in the breakfast hall. Large garden and walking trails in the vineyards with all round mountain views. Breakfast served included in the rate, family and child friendly environment. Light lunches and or dinner served on prior arrangement. Additionally secure parking, laundry service and Wi-Fi access.

The rooms are spacious, decorated with unique themed interiors and en-suite bath rooms with amenities, fan, heater and electrical blankets during the winter, hairdryer (available on request) and for your convenience a coffee & tea station. Note that all rooms are non-smoking rooms.
