Great Place
Sephole Leputu, South Africa - 11 January 2016
We enjoyed our stay, the lodge was clean and the staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Not bad - good location
Linda Hart, South Africa - 05 January 2016
We stayed at Maputaland Lodge for three nights before travelling into Mocambique. The accommodation was sufficient and clean. The restaurant was terribly slow, and didn't have everything on the limited menu. We asked for water which we were told they didn't have. The pool was green and not inviting at all which was a pity as it was so hot. For a short stay it was fine.
Peaceful escape
Mbali Mthethwa, South Africa - 25 April 2014
I really enjoyed my stay here, it was a perfect little escape I needed, I had my quiet time, staff is very friendly and my room was nice and cozy When you find yourself stuck in Manguzi I recommend you check in here, hopefully they will have a room for you since it looks like they are often booked

Decent accommodation with clean cosy rooms. Not the best location if you are planning on visiting the beach most of the time, however very close to the Spar and Total which was convenient.

Central, good accommodation but telephones in rooms.
Excellent service

We enjoyed staying at the lodge, the lady working in the reception was absolutely professional. Not even once did we feel unwelcome. We will definitely revisit the lodge in the near future.
Nice but loud
Marcel Vogt, South Africa - 18 July 2013
On Friday there was some kind of disco on the premises. that was very loud until 22:30. After that there was another music outside the premises playing until 02:00 in the morning. The chalet we booked was booked for three people, but we received the towels just for to, there was no chair for the third on the terrace to have breakfast together. Mosquito net was just on one of the beds.there was an old bread in the bread box when we arrived. staff was helpful and friendly.
Good base station for Kosi

Convenient, neat and pleasant when making trips up to Kosi.
Maputaland Lodge
Anonymous, South Africa - 25 January 2011
Although Maputaland Lodge is not close to the beach, it was central. We were close to all the reserves and every day visited a different beach. It is also a short drive to the border post and we could even do a one trip into Mozambique. A 4x4 is not optional. It is a must if you really want to enjoy your holiday. We will definitely stay again at Maputaland Lodge.
Maputaland Lodge

It was the most unwelcome I felt in a long time visiting a lodge. The service from the reception side was unfriendly, thinking they do u a favour. Will never stay there again. And the maintenance on the outside as well as the pool is terrible.
It was great.

Tastefully decorated
Natalie Bütikofer, Switzerland - 04 May 2007
Thanks for your kind hospitality. The room are very beautiful and tastefully decorated, exactly what we like. Your Lodge looks in reality much nicer as seen on the pictures on the internet. And thanks that you made it possible to organise the special trip to Kosi Mounth, was wonderful.

Maputaland Lodge
This area needs a 4x4 to do activities. Up to us it’s not a problem but from us a 4x4 is needed for the beach, mouth, lakes, Mozambique or even KZN parks.
