Our stay was very pleasant
Catherine Young, South Africa - 04 July 2010
A complimentary bottle of sparkly on arrival, friendly service. Got a great deal through SafariNow, much cheaper than the published price on their website. Peech is really lovely, room looked like it needed a little TLC. Stained carpet, chipped paint on the wall, etc. Not proper four star, but maybe it is because it is off season, and they are busy fixing. Lovely library and reception areas. Will definitely go back again.

Pit Stop at The Peech

On our way to and from Gwalagwala Safari, we booked rooms at The Peech...... What a pleasant surprise!!! All expectations were surpassed. The location is superb, quiet and peaceful, while at the same time close to main shopping malls. The small numbers make the service highly personable and accessible. The rooms were clean, bathrooms nice and big, and the bed and linens a treat to sleep on. Highly recommend to all travelers!!!

This is our second stay at The Peech and we hope to return for many more visits to this wonderful hotel. The location is great, the staff professional and attentive, the hotel decor just lovely. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. We highly recommend the restaurant. The included breakfast menu is varied with choices to suit everyone's tastes and the dinners, we had two, were delicious. (Mussels are yummy!) Great chef! The grounds are lovely and the free Wi-Fi is a much appreciated ammenity. Thanks to James Peech and his great staff for making our return to Jo'burg a comfortable and memorable stay. Savage review of Peech hotel.

Really friendly and helpful staff. The place was clean and comfortable and a little bit funky, very nice. The gardens and small scale made one feel as though you were more at home than in a hotel.
Breakfast and oaktrees
Martin Macphail, South Africa - 25 October 2005
The atmosphere, ambiance etc is excellent. However we found the service slightly lacking - especially the breakfast on Saturday morning - we waited an extremely long time for our breakfast and toast. Other than that - excellent. p.s. perhaps you could plant a huge oak tree to block the view from planet fitness...

My husband and I spent 3 nights at The Peech Hotel and absolutely LOVED IT! James Peech was a great host and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Meals were wonderful. Chef Dennis prepares the best cuisine for your enjoyment. The rooms are lovely and the grounds peaceful. I will be back and will recommend it to my friends.
