Relaxing, creative and welcoming.
Tammy Glanger, South Africa - 12 February 2017
Christa and Johan are wonderful hosts. They are warm, friendly and attentive. Christa's creativity is evident in the details everywhere and I was treated to a beautiful sunset daily from the dining table or balcony.
The view and friendliness of the hosts

The West coast just offers something special and the fully equipped accommodation made it even better. Although the wind was pumping the sheltered braai area allow us to enjoy this luxury.

Was such a well rested holiday for us and our fur babies. Christa and Johan are the most generous and accomodating hosts. It feels like home away from home. the place is clean and comfortable. The fur kids had freedom in an enclosed area. i strongly recommend this establishment.
Fab place

Journey's End was a great place to stay - stunning views towards Paternoster - great birding. Christa went our of her way to make us & our little dog welcome. Basic self catering set-up but perfect for a one or two night stay. Would definitely go back.
Rustige skoon goed toegeruste plek

Baie dankie vir die uitsteekende plek goed toegerus en baie skoon
Dit is n baie lieflike rustige plek om net te rus en die gasvryheid van Johan & Christa kan nie orals gevind word nie.
Lovely Cottage

Christa and Johan were such good hosts and saw to it that I had everything I needed.  The cottage is spotless and beautiful.  Such friendly people.  I loved staying there and am definately going to go back.

We had a grat stay at Journey's End.

It was probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. Also very cozy.Everything carefully chosen for a beautiful overall impression. Christa was very friendly and and made us feel welcome.

It had stunning views and lovely garden.

I am however dissapointed in the actual town. Was hoping for a more West Coast feel and more places to sit and eat etc with sea view and some nice local shops with craft and art etc. but aside from the Nursery there were none St Helena is a place where rich Gautengers are all in competition for a bigger house. It has absolutely no caracter and nothing worth going back for.

JOURNEY'S END was the only highight.

Lovely site

The bed was not of the best but the welcome was warm and friendly and the recommended restaurant was good.
Altogether we were impressed.
Good for the Soul!

My husband and I, along with our two Bassets had the most wonderful stay!  Christa and Johan were very accommodating, even going the extra mile to doggie sit one afternoon while we went out for lunch in Paternoster. Journey's End is in close proximity to the "Golden Mile", which was a fantastic recommendation of Johan's.  Wonderful hosts, lovely location, definitely a must!

Found to be relaxing with a soothing touch of serenity and rustic beauty.
Brigid Coutts-trotter, South Africa - 28 January 2015
I had a lovely stay at Journey's End. It was peaceful and restful - just what I was looking for. Christa was friendly and helpful but did not at all intrude. My dog loved it too and the beautiful beaches nearby. It will be better still when they have an enclosed garden directly of the guest balcony.

Simple, comfortable accommodation, ideal for a weekend stay. Lovely views down towards Paternoster Bay from the back of the cottage where there is a nice braai area. Christa was very welcoming and attentive. Thank you!

More than just a self catering establisment
David Brookes, South Africa - 13 September 2014
From the moment we'd paid our deposit until we arrived, Christa kept in touch with friendly emails. On arrival we were met by Crista and shown around. She quickly took us to our verandah where we watched and photographed a most beautiful sunset. moments later we were on the opposite side of the house taking in the moonrise. it was the day before full moon and it was big and round. The next morning a magical big red moonset to to the background sounds and sights of the awakening birdlife just before dawn. Apart from this wonderful experience of nature we really enjoyed the clean comfortable and homely accomodation. Every thing one would expect from a first class self catering establisment and more was there for us to enjoy. Christa is a truly frienldy person and looked after us really well. Given the opportunity we would happily do it all again.

Cooper and I want to thank Christa and Johann Botha for an ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL stay at their guesthouse, JOURNEY'S END in St Helena Bay. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the decor was just beautiful. The setting, with the panoramic vista is exquisite. They are warm and welcoming hosts, right down to the chocolates on each bedside table. We would recommend Journey's End anytime.

Hartlike ontvangs
