About Woodcliffe Country House
Woodcliffe Guest Farm is a scenically magnificent farm located 22 km from Maclear (on a gravel road). Woodcliffe is the last inhabited farm before the high Drakensberg and is a destination for nature-lovers who enjoy a sense of space and mountain wilderness. The Country House is a beautiful double-storey unit sleeping up to 10 guests in five bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and the dining room and lounge are open plan. A fireplace and plenty of wood will keep the winter chills away. The County House also features a well-established garden with big shade trees. Woodcliffe Cottage is a three-bedroom unit with one bathroom and an an open-plan kitchen and lounge area with a Jetmaster fireplace. The Garden Flat is an open-planned flat with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom, lovely north facing view of the mountain and a small living space and kitchenette. It has its own entrance and private area. Woodcliffe is graded 3 Stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and listed with Greenwood Guides. Spend a few days to relax, hike, trout fish and see dinosaur footprints. In addition, qualified nature guides can be arranged to take guests to world-famous rock art and rare Drakensberg orchids in the summer months.
