About Overdale Guest House
Overdale Guest House is situated in the small village of Rosetta in the Midlands of KwaZulu Natal, amongst wooded rolling hills reminiscent of the English Midlands, where your hosts, Dee and Colin, were born and brought up.
Our establishment consists of 3 double, en-suite and individually decorated bedrooms equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities, toiletries, electric blankets and heaters for those cold winter nights.
There is a cosy communal lounge (with fireplace) where guests can watch TV (full DSTV), read a book, play a board game or simply relax with a tipple of your choice. Your full English breakfast is served in the adjoining dining room any time from 7.30 to 8.45.
Outside you'll find an immaculate garden with a firepit and seating. Guests are welcome to use the facilities to have a BBQ, should they require.
Horse studs and large cattle farms dominate the landscape of the area and horses, cattle and sheep can be seen everywhere. You are also bound to encounter wild buck, chattering guinea fowl, porcupine and amazing birdlife.
There are excellent restaurants and pubs in the area where guests can enjoy fine fare and beverages. You will also find great wine and food to take home with you.
Other activities in the area include trout fishing, hiking, hot-air ballooning, canopy tours through tree tops, horseriding, golf and, of course, shopping on the famous Midlands Meander.
