We had a comfortable stay in a chalet overlooking the impressive Maguga Dam [It must be even more impressive when full!] Accommodation was good, comfortable and clean, and dinner and breakfast in the restaurant enjoyable. Very friendly staff. What a lovely area!

Drought has the would be dam almost at empty, not creating the vein expected in the pictures. No discount was offered on account of this, in fact it was not event mentioned... very misleading and a real potty! The camp braai facilities were not maintained and cleaned daily (a standard anywhere else we have camped). The bin points where flipping far away and not dotted equally for tenants to use.The electrical posts had to be connected with a massively long Extention lead... that we had to roll out, that had two electrical points at the wash basin by the ablution block. The staff were very friendly...

It is a nice location with the view over the lake. We initially wanted to stay in the lower camp, but the road there was bad for our small car. So we stayed at uppr camp which was a bit noisy from the road. Reception was really helpful and borrowed us aocket adaptor. Also thanks to the chef we got a fire started. Really helpful people and nice and clean facilities.

My family had a wonderful relaxed time at Maguga Lodge. Super super super place to rest and enjoy nature. The dam was no more than 100 yards away from the chalet. It is so safe the kids would get up early and run to the dam and fish. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Shosholoza boat ride on the dam. The chalet was very comfortable although quality hotel standard mattresses must be included as well as an intercom service to reception. Otherwise the chalet was comfortable and cleaned every day. Thank you for a beautiful stay and can't wait to visit again.
