About Zwinoni Lodge

Zwinoni Lodge is a 3 Star graded owner-managed establishment that offers an authentic African experience with a balance of traditional food and African décor. Guests will leave feeling enriched through our culture, experiencing true African hospitality coupled with the richness of its art, history, music and food.

The lodge is nestled in a cul-de-sac in a quiet suburb of Milnerton Ridge. It is situated next to the Rietvlei Bird Sanctuary, and Zwinoni is the Venda word for ‘birds’. The sanctuary is home to more than 180 bird species and guided walks are gladly arranged.

Zwinoni Lodge offers ten elegant and stylishly decorated bedrooms overlooking the gardens, each equipped with satellite TV, a mini-bar, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Fax, internet, and email facilities are available. The honeymoon suite has the added luxury of a Jacuzzi and balcony with splendid views of the Rietvlei Nature Reserve.

Parties, intimate weddings and exclusive dinner functions in the peaceful and serene gardens are gladly arranged at Zwinoni Lodge for up to 60 people. To complete our African theme we have a boma or braai area in which we offer themed dinners. We are a fully licensed operation.
