About Walkersons Pastures Village

Walkersons Pastures Village is situated in the Walkersons Private Estate 10km outside Dullstroom. There are two spacious, comfortably furnished houses available for rental, namely W108 and W111. The houses each sleep 10 people in three bedrooms , each with en-suite bathroom facilities. A fold-away sleeper couch is available in the lounge.
The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, while the other two bedrooms contain a double and a single bed.

The two houses are at opposite sides of a small plaza and may be rented individually or together for larger groups.

Four mattresses are available for children under 10. Bedding will be supplied as quoted. This means that at a push we can accommodate 20 adults and four children, under the age of ten, between the two houses.

Each house has an open-plan living area, fitted with a wood-burning, slow combustion fireplace which ensures a cosy atmosphere during the cold winter months. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, tea and coffee-making facilities, as well as a dishwasher. Cutlery and crockery is supplied for eight places. Guests can enjoy their meals at the large dining table or relax in the comfortable lounge. Please note there is no TV.

Each house has a lock-up garage and the surrounds are safe and secure for children. The estate is under access control 24/7 and has a regular security patrol, day and night. Please note that no pets are allowed.

The houses are serviced Monday to Sunday, excluding Wednesdays. Service is also available on public holidays. Wood is supplied, however guests need to bring charcoal.

Walkersons Private Estate has a trout fishing permit system, each of our two houses has four fishing permits included in the daily rate, which give guests access to 18 stocked trout dams for fly-fishing.
Permits must be carried on the person fishing and shown to security on request. The estate replaces lost permits at a cost of R500, which will be recovered from the guest making the booking if lost or not returned to the house. There are strict trout fishing rules, which must be adhered to. There is a catch and release policy, while each house may only consume two fish per day.

The estate has easy walking footpaths along the lunsklip river and the dams in the valley as well a more challenging hiking trail up the mountain where game- and bird-viewing can also be enjoyed. All the internal roads are paved and are ideal for cycling and jogging.
