This landmark hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and offers spectacular views of the working harbour and Table Mountain. Every room has a view over the ever-awake Alfred Basin or Piazza. Built in 1904 as the North Quay Warehouse and converted into a luxury hotel in 1990, the Victoria & Alfred Hotel is named in honour of the Queen of England and her son who visited the Cape in 1870 when Prince Alfred officially opened the Breakwater Basin, today known as Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.
