The service was efficient and the room was comfortable.

Other then the Big Hole, staying in the club for a night was the highlight of our trip to Kimberley. Certainly got a sense of the history concerning building. The rooms were excellent, likewise the staff while the dinner and breakfast was also appreciated given the lack of alternatives in town. Bearing in mind what transpired at UCT, you can also see a bust of Cecil Rhodes if need be.

We stayed in a luxury room which was far from luxury the carpets, curtains sofa's and soft furnishings where all badly stained, hairdryer not working, stained sheets which when replaced didn't fit the bed, torn pillowcases, along with the overall appearance of the room was well below the standard of a supposedly ''boutique hotel''.The only redeeming factors where the public rooms, the staff and the history of the place.Very disappointing stay and not worth the prices charged.

The Olde Worlde charm is a strong attraction, as are the wonderful courtyard rooms, which are spacious, comfortable and very well provided for in the way of facilities. The staff are also extremely pleasant and helpful. The downside was a breakfast that had sat for hours - can't a hotel of this standard cook things like eggs freshly?

The history, the rooms, the ambiance and the service. Don't stay anywhere else in Kimberley. We were a party of 6 we spent hours looking at the painting's, etc. The bar is a great place to have drinks.
