About Swallows Nest Guest House

Swallows Nest Guest House is situated within walking distance of the lagoon and the beach. You can be assured of a very memorable visit to Plettenberg Bay, which is called "The Jewel of the Garden Route."

We offer five luxury rooms which are all luxuriously appointed to cater to your every need. Each room includes a complimentary sherry on arrival, a TV with DStv, a bar fridge, tea and coffee-making facilities, a ceiling fan and a private patio. Electric blankets and heaters are supplied for winter and there are laundry facilities available.

The unique and most exciting feature of this area is the abundance of marine mammals in the bay, which is flanked by two marine nature reserves and therefore rich in food for the resident whales and dolphins. During July to September every year, the southern right whales migrate to this part of the Indian Ocean to calve. There are boat trips all year round to see brydes whales and dolphins.

The stay was wonderful! My girlfriend enjoyed every moment of it. The guest house was situated in the right place and the view was great. The rooms are divine. You can hear the waves of the sea rumble while you enjoy a peaceful evening in your room. I will definitely make use of Swallows Nest again.

We only stayed one night and would have loved to stay longer. We had a great sea view, lovely comfortable room and great breakfast.

All in all a very pleasant stay for both of us.The breakfasts were excellent and Gerald our young host was most pleasant. He is very relaxed and outgoing and is not selfconscious about his youth when relating to older or foreign guests.

We stayed at Swallow's nest on our way to Addo elephant reserve and enjoyed it so much that we decided to stop there again on our way back to Cape Town and stayed on for an additional two nights. This provided a beautiful environment in which to stay, which was relaxing and welcoming. The breakfast was superb, with the dining area overlooking the ocean. The staff were able to accommodate any breakfast needs, offering home made scones baked that morning. I felt that it was the attention to detail which made the Swallow's nest so special, such as cotton buds in the bathroom, bath soak, compl...
