About Sons of the King Guesthouse

This is a charming self-catering guest house situated in De Rust, a quaint little Karoo village. It is the ideal accommodation for a peaceful stay, away from the busy city life.

There are three guest rooms available, of which one has an en-suite bathroom. Linen and towels are supplied. A communal bathroom is provided at the end of the passage, with a second toilet.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all self-catering needs, and has a lovely Dover Stove for warming up those chilly winter days. The guest house does not have satellite TV or Internet access but a USB dongle is available on request.

Tea and coffee facilities with rusks are provided on arrival. Guests can relax on the sunny deck area with braai facilities, overlooking the delightful garden.

Family friendly: This guesthouse was our family home for 7 years so it is child friendly with a warm homely atmosphere and has a lawn to play games on. It is situated in a safe neighbourhood on a quiet street ideal for scate boarding.

This was a great place to stay. One could easily be comfortable in this large old house for more than a night. We were on the road home from Cape Town, and were made welcome by our host and hostess, finding everything to hand that we needed, and more!

This was a very pleasant stay, good hosts, and all it promised to be and more. We were alone in the house -- it would be busier at times. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is that, well, it's the next best thing to a five-star establishment. Rev. Thomas and Ester Scarborough.
