About Sadawa Game Reserve

Sadawa Game Reserve is situated 70km outside Ceres in the beautiful Tankwa Karoo. We offer a rustic and restful Karoo getaway at affordable prices. Come see wild game, gaze at the majestic night sky, discover unusual plants and insects, practice your photography skills, shoot on our shooting range and much more! All in the presence of a quiet, breathtaking landscape that will make the noise of city life drain away. The lodge comprises of seven chalets, camping grounds, tents and one Karoo-style Hunter's Cottage - Die Brak. Our chalets feature unique, rustic, vintage d├ęcor all with en-suite bathrooms and single or king-size beds. The self-catering chalets all have their own kitchenette with fridge, stove top and cookware as well as a private braai lapa. The standard chalets make use of our large communal kitchen to prepare their own meals. They also have access to our shared braai facilities. The lodge also offers guests free WiFi, Mtn reception and bar with DSTv. Die Brak hunter's cottage is a three bedrooms self-catering cottage 8km from the main camp and is the true Karoo getaway! It has one bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a lapa with braai facilities. Here lies the true Karoo-experience as there is no electricity or internet access. We offer home-baked breads and catering to large groups on request. Visit our website for a full list of activities to partake in.

Safari: Let us take you on a veld- or night drive and show you all the animals and interesting plants that the Karoo has to offer. You will be amazed at the variance and diversity of this seemingly desolate plain.

Wedding Venues: We can accommodate and host intimate wedding parties. The Karoo requires a creative eye, but can offer a beautiful wedding day to any couple.

Conference Venues: The lodge can accommodate up to 30 people in the conference room. WiFi Internet access is available, but please bring own laptop and projector. White boards are available on request.

Romantic: Imagine standing alone, hand in hand with the one you love under millions of stars painted across the night sky and a moon so bright it gleams like a pearl in fresh water. Be alone and be together in the Karoo.

The hosts where awesome, left us to relax and enjoy, at the same time they paid attention when needed, nothing was too much to ask. Friendly people and we enjoyed the picnic, game drive and shooting range.

Amazing place, quiet and serene. Vast open lands, fresh air and beautiful animals and flora. Took my mother for a birthday weekend, loved every minute of it! Definitely will be back in the future.

It was great getting far away from the city and take in the country air. The hosts made us feel more than welcome and catered to our needs. We enjoyed the game drive too. Will recommend a stay if you need to recharge your batteries.

What a lovely host in Trudie, so friendly, welcoming and hard working! We stayed in the cottage for four people which was the perfect size and was kitted out with all that you need for self catering. The karoo reserve is yours to explore by car (more options open to 4x4s), just a bit sad that because of the drought and other reasons that you do need to persevere to find some animals as they are low in numbers at the moment. However, we had a great weekend away and even the food served at the lodge (which we ate one evening) was a great alternative if you don't want to self cater for the whole...
