We loved our two night stay in this quiet corner of the quaint village. Looking out over the Karoo from the stoep was magical, and we will definitely be back. The house is well equipped, and although it doesn’t have aircon, the fan and thick walls ensured that we remained cool on a scorcher of a day that reached 37 degrees. We love this little town, and can’t wait to visit again.

Thank you for a brilliant stay at Rustpunt. What a perfect place, private and beautifully refurbished.Thank you very much for the treats. We recommend this accommodation which is 5 minutes walk from the village. At night we used the car to get to the village as it was raining but during the day we found the walk easy and enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rustpunt. The peaceful setting on the edge of the town, comfortable cottage so well equipped with many extra touches of rusks, sherry, hairdryer, bathroom necessities.

A well appointed  self catering unit;however,no internet connection was a drawback.Beautiful surroundings and close to the center of an intriguing village.

Compassberg is 2502m high. From Ganora it takes about 1 hour todrive to the back from where you can start climbing. If you do not have a 4X4 it takes about 3 hours up and 3 hours down. With a 4X4 you can get further up the mountain to a point...

Tubby is a little railway inspector’s cart formerly used to inspect the district’s rail tracks. Today it is used to take visitors on two-hour trips up Lootsberg. The views are lovely and there are opportunities to spot kudu and smaller antelope on...
