About Rocky Point

About Rocky Point

Rocky Point occupies an exceptional position at the base of a headland, in Rooi-Els, with it's own peninsula around which whales and dolphins regularly swim and Cape Fur Seals laze. The accommodation is the entire upper-floor of a beachfront establishment with a separate entrance. Leather furniture in an expansive lounge with phenomenal views from all three sides, and a luxurious patio overlooking the sea. Egyptian cotton linen and king-size beds complete the experience. With nothing between the house, the sea and the point, this can all be appreciated in quiet comfort

Beach: Being on a rocky point and within 30 metres of the sea, guests can feel like they have their own private bay. The interesting rock pools where you can swim when it's calm. During storms the waves crash on the rocks making a spectacular sight!

Family friendly: The joy of Rooi Els is it's nature, peace and quiet. At night there are no street lights or the sound of cars, just the crashing waves or the barking of seals. Dassies warm themselves on the rocks and an otter family has been seen on the driveway.

Romantic: The sunsets on the deck, glass of champagne in hand, cannot get more romantic. And for any special occasions there is a secret picnic site with a rustic bench and most awesome views of the sunset. It has to been seen to be appreciated!

Location was perfect, views stunning, seaviews from every room. If peace and quite is what you are after this is the place. If we need to be critical, the toilet cysterns need serious maintenance, not nice to put your hands in the cystern each time you need to flush. The woodburner inside needs a better draw system....so smokey. Main bedroom can do with new matress. This place is a GEM tho. We... Read more

Our stay at Rocky Point was nothing like the name – no Rocky points. Everything was smooth and lovely. From our arrival until our departure. We were welcomed by Kirsten into a warm clean house. The rooms and bathrooms nice and clean. There was nothing that we needed that wasn’t there. Carol (the owner) came to say hello the Saturday and made us feel even more welcome. The... Read more
