About Robertson Backpackers

Nestled between the Langeberg Mountains and the Great Breede River lies the quaint town of Robertson, well known for its thoroughbred race horses and superb wine farms. Here you will find the warm and friendly hospitality of Robertson Backpackers.

Your well-travelled hosts, Kevin and Lynda, have turned an old Victorian farmhouse, dating back to the 1880's, into a comfortable and spacious backpackers. The rooms are big and airy with high ceilings and all the beds have comfortable duvets and pillows.

The lush garden with stunning mountain views comes alive at night with intimate lamps and lanterns. The Moroccan room, has a certain mystique about it, with its low couches and cushions, candles, lanterns, incense and fireplace - a great place to have a drink, smoke a Hubbly Bubbly and listen to cool African sounds. Only a two-hour drive away from Cape Town and with lots to do in the area you will want to stay longer. So if you want to get away from the rat race or indulge in some country activities, then this is the place to be.

The rooms range from affordable shared dormitories to beautiful garden en-suite rooms. There are plenty of communal lounges and a TV room with DStv. Guests have full use of the very sociable braai outside and a fireplace inside for those chilly winter nights. The well equipped kitchen is also available for the guests to use or meals can be enjoyed from the simple menu on offer. The Double - and Quad Room as well as the Dormitory share the use of a communal bathroom.

Lovely people, beautiful swimming pool, old wooden floor house. The room and bathroom was clean and the kitchen was a real farm kitchen. We enjoyed our stay.

My sister and I spent a night at the Robertson Backpackers in December and we were impressed with the service and attention we received. Will definitely come back again.
