About Rivers Own Guest Lodge
There are few locations in the Western Cape which remain relatively undiscovered by the local Capetonians. Rivers Own in the Mount Bain Reserve is, however, a rare gem waiting to be enjoyed by anyone who makes the short 1h20min trip from Cape Town to this exquisitely appointed river side getaway.
The river itself is your private part of what is the clearest and cleanest water in the country, flowing directly from the surrounding mountains which carry the invigorating stillness and energy so craved for by those hungry for an enriching time out, or holiday.
Within 15mins you can be wine tasting, kloofing, hiking, trail running, mountain biking, and just 30mins away you can pick cherries or play in the snow (winter). Even with all these activities so close by, Rivers Own some how captivates many guests who realise at the end of their stay they had no need to move once they were pulled into the spell of the river and its serene banks that demand all day picnics.
Family friendly: Rivers Own has a river running directly in front of it. A lovely pool. Soccer/rugby field on the 2 acre property. Board games, a dart board, cricket bats, rugby ball, soccer ball and swing ball.
