About Prinskraal Homestead
Prinskraal is an idyllic working farm on the Agulhas plains, close to Africa’s southernmost tip. It is an idyllic working farm on the Agulhas plains, close to Africa’s southernmost tip. The property dates back to the 18th century, and the farmhouse, which has been in the current owners’ family for 4 generations, has recently been renovated as self-catering accommodation for up to 12 guests. Extensive gardens, a busy farmyard and a beautiful, rambling homestead view with world-class local beaches and nature reserves for guests’ enjoyment.
There are four bedrooms where beds can be made up as singles or doubles, and a bunk bedroom for 4 children. Bedding, towels and swimming towels are provided.
Arniston is 14km / 10 minutes’ drive from the farm. It has excellent beaches for walking and swimming, a picturesque fishing village and several dining options. Fresh fish available from the boats if they’ve gone out. The beautiful and remote De Mond Nature Reserve (Cape Nature) is 10km / 10 minutes’ drive away and is one of the last unspoiled river estuaries on South Africa’s coast.
