We slept in room number 1 and it was dirty. There is a lot of dust behind the desk in the room and the shower needs a good scrub down. There is also a lot of broken stuff in the room like the asbestos heat panel, the bin is dented, the bathroom cutain is loose, the carpet has not been vacuumed and there was grid on it, the shower drain sieve is loose. I am going to stop. the breakfast was good and the people was friendly.

Your place is great and you accommodated us whenever we needed something.

The bed and breakfast has been nicely kept and is clean on the inside.I'm not a fan of the way smoke drifts in from other people smoking in the vicinity. It is also a little funny how there was complimentary bubble bath, but our unit had no bath!Overall the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, with a well done breakfast in the morning.

A most helpful, informative and pleasant stay. The breakfast was great and the room was just fine - nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend Potties B&B without hesitation.

The first Dutch Reformed Church was built in 1859, but later replaced by a larger building in 1907. Today, visitors may tour this historical church on arrangement.

Hanover Museum

(65.9 km from De Aar)

Housed in an original farmstead, the Hanover Museum exhibits the interesting history of the town. The museum is run on a volunteer basis by the community, and most artefacts have been donated by the townsfolk.

Richmond Bookshops

(83.6 km from De Aar)

A few years ago the little dorp of Richmond was established as the first Book Town in the country and on the continent. Today there are a dozen bookshops in the village. The bookshops specialize in Africana with a focus on early travellers,...
