Settled on the N18 road which connects to the N12 road that leads you to Cape Town or Johannesburg, Platteland Gastehuis is the ideal stopover for those who are travelling to the Cape or Gauteng, whether it’s for holiday or business. Jan Kempdorp is also the only town that is located in two provinces, the Northern Cape and the North West.

Unwind and enjoy the beautiful view from your room. Safe undercover parking is provided. Each room has its own private braai area, and braai packs can be arranged. Platteland Gastehuis can also prepare breakfast and dinner on request for an additional fee, which can be served in your room or in the boma.

Guests can relax and read a book in the beautiful garden, or play a round of golf at the nearby golf club which is within walking distance. For those who rather want to read a book in our beautiful garden,

Some interesting attractions in close proximity to Platteland Gastehuis include the Hartswater Wine Cellar, Olive SA’s headquarters, and pecan nut factories and farms, among others. Enjoy the view of the Northern Cape's magnificent sunsets, the tranquillity of the majestic trees and the sound of our beautiful bird life.
