About Nick's Place - Guest House and Restaurant
Halfway between Johannesburg and East London, you'll find the historic hamlet of Smithfield. It is a well-known stopover for travellers commuting on the N6 and the proud home of Nick's Place. A charming guest house and restaurant, Nick's Place boasts all the comforts that will have you feeling right at home.
Nick’s Place offers accommodation in three luxuriously appointed double en-suite bedrooms, all containing a TV, electric blankets and heaters for those chilly Free State nights. Our guests enjoy the Victorian charm and comfort of three uniquely decorated cosy rooms. Brass, iron, oak, maple or pine furniture, wooden floors and high ceilings recall a turn-of-the-century look and feel, and each room is separate and private.
Nick's Place also offers a self-catering, pet-friendly cottage, set apart in a fully-fenced, private garden. It has its own fully equipped kitchen, with outside braai facilities, and comfortably sleeps two adults and two children. The cottage is ideal for travellers with dogs.
We also offer laundry services, a Wi-Fi hotspot area and our staff are happy to take messages. With a large selection of reasonably priced home-cooked meals, Nick's Place is Smithfield's one-stop home from home. Put your feet up, and relax at Nick's Place.
