About Ngumula Lodge

Ngumula Lodge is situated 25km south of Inhambane, in Mozambique. Situated only 100m from the sea with a spectacular view, it is a perfect holiday destination for the family and friends.

There are six houses in total. Each house comprises of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large open-plan kitchen and living area. The living area has folding glass doors leading onto a deck and plunge pool which overlook the sea. Each house has been tastefully furnished and comes fully equipped, including linen. All bedrooms have air-conditioning. The houses are supplied with gas and are serviced daily. There is a manager on site if any assistance is required.

The reef at Ngumula is amazing at low tide, where deep pools are formed and one can just float and lose yourself. At high tide boogie boarding and swimming is a great experience, as well as fishing off the beach.

The resort offers an airport collection service.

Don’t miss out on the whale season at Ngumula, where you can escape the winter chill and take advantage of the winter specials.

Enjoy sitting on the deck in mid-winter where the temperatures are warm and watch the “Whale Highway”.

There are so many whales at this time of the year, and one can be entertained all day as they are very active.

If you want to get even closer, go on a sea safari and observe the whales from a dive boat. Not only will you see whales, but other sea life as well.

From June to November is whale season, and a perfect time to visit Mozambique.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ngumula Lodge - one of our best holidays this ever. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. The staff was fantastic - nothing was ever too much trouble. I can honestly say that there was nothing that we could have needed or wanted, which was not already there or brought by Frans and his staff when asked to do so. The fresh seafood was a feast and very well priced. We really had a fantastic time. The only negative side was that the directions that was supplied to us via SafariNow, was wrong. It took us on completely a different road resulting in...

We had an absolute fantastic stay at the Lodge. Friendly, helpful lodge manager Franz was always prepared to help us buy fish and whatever we asked him. The lodge itself was a lovely surprise with spectacular views of the ocean. We will definitely be back next year!!
