About Ngulane Lodge

Ngulane Lodge is situated in Massinga, in the province of Inhambane in Mozambique. We are situated on a beautiful stretch of beach in this unpopulated area.

The lodge has seven beautiful chalets. The rooms have solar heating for the showers; however there is only generator power from 6 am to 10 pm. All of the rooms have oil lamps for after hours and we burn citronella oil which also helps for mosquitos.

The chalets are not self-catering; instead you have a cook at your disposal that will prepare the food you have brought with you, the way you want it prepared. Sit back and relax while your food gets prepared and your dishes are cleaned for you.

There are shops and markets in Maxixe which is 50 km to the south and in Messinga which is 20 km to the north. Our sign is about 3 km from the Tropic of Capricorn sign on the main N11 to Beira.

We arrived at what seems like an abandoned place, no hot water, not even solar heated. No Freezing facility accordingly off food. Terrible bed that sink away, 3 employees that can not understand a word of English despite the representation that English is the spoken language. I can go on. We were booked for 15 nights and left after 2 nights and the owner indicated that we can proceed with legal action after a request for a refund.
